Default New cam 2 runs....

I have been here a little over 2 years, never started a post here but couldn't resist. Just installed a Futral Motorsports 228/230- 581/597 camshaft this past Sunday and been heat cycling springs, the alarm company that monitors my shop called and said alarm went off, police dispached, so i head out the door to check on the store, some of the guys stayed an hour late to finish up a car, got there and no problem. So heading home I come to a intersection on Hwy 78 and right beside me is a 99 Z28, Hugger Orange/Black stripes, limo tint on the windows, behind me is a GT stang. 00/01 The Z28 and I wait to see who is going to go first, I'm waiting, he goes and I lay into it and its over quick, he comes up and gives the thumbs up, I return the gesture, I think he was close to stock by the sound of it, but the GT passes both of us in the middle turn lane and its on. Less than 1/2 mile up 78 a red light stops him and I get past a "Hemi" ram in the other lane and there is no escape. My car idles at 900 rpm with edit and this guy and his friend knows their f**cked. I let him roll out 2 cars before I moved and when I saw the exhaust turn black I got on it, see ya bitch... I love this new FMS cam!!! Lame kill I know but the f**cker asked for it

Thanks guys, I don't run on the street that often but I just knew it was time to open her up, my rev limiter is set for 6500 (hotcam) and this cam is a 2200-6600 cam LOL, it was pulling like a train when the limiter came in, I didn't really care what the mudstain was doing, FMS cams rule, thanks Alan!!

Drivability is better than the hotcam was and its on the same tune. Right now it is a basic edit tune as far as timing etc and some codes turned off but there is no surging at all, there are several people in my neck of the woods running Futral cams and I bought mine from their experience, looking forward to dyno tuning next week and I post up some numbers.

You better post some numbers, that looks like a nice cam.

I have a question, what do those different #'s on the cam mean??? Are they lift or compression of what???

I was so close to buying that cam but Allen said I wouldn't have the gears for it so I ended up going with a 226/226 .575/575 114+4. Can't wait to get that biatch put in.

Good kills. Sounds like you're having fun with the new FMS.
