i am a pretty much stock LT1, few bolt ons, 3600 stall, 4:10's on DR's and i run 12.5-12.7 on the motor (poppin LS1's) on 150 shot...poppin alot of people...LT1's are just like any car, right combos or wrong combos... mine pulled and LS1 in the 1/8 with me lifting (N/A) ran a 8:11 lifting...so the LT1 sounds like it's got some issues IF he was on the 100 shot...jus sayin...good kill though...

I "pop" LT1s all the time too. ****, here's me walking a H/C/I/weight reduction/gear'd LT1 SS on drag radials, me on little 245 street tires (another bolt-on LS1 beats him too).

12.5s aint bad for a bolt-on LT1.

I could only muster 12.8s at sea level, but I had a few more tricks I could have done - before I decided to H/C it instead .

i ran 12.2s with bolt on's and a 75 shot. i was an auto w/ stock stall on just a 315 nitto 555r. that was with 156k miles on the ol' girl. i also ran consisent 12.9-13.0 NA. The DA is usually aroun 3000 here as well.

i also want to give you kudos for winning, but if he sprayed... and you say he did, i believe you, nothing to gain from lying... he has an issue somewhere!

When my car was stock with 150k miles on the clock with nothing more than a spectra cone filter on the intake edlebrock shorty headers,stock cats,stock catback and a cutout i ran a 13.6@102mph with a 2.0 60ft. I threw a 125 wet shot on it and ran a 12.7@113 with a 2.1 60ft.

Stock trans
Stock stall
2.73 gears
245/50/16 salad shooter kuhmo tires

Well i don't think the cone filter did anything but draw hot air into the engine lol but the shorties and cutout helped some i am sure. Pretty close to stock though.

The heads i have now are stock castings with a little port work the CAM is a custom grind that is a tad bigger than an lt4 hot cam. And i got the 2500 Stall because that was my budget when buying a new tranny i got the trans,stall and cooler for 1700 from performabuilt. And as for the 2.73 gears i just have not got to that part yet the car is still a work in progress but i will go with 3.73's when the time comes.
