That's weird. I pulled a modded ZR1 the other day. I raced him in my friends LT1, but we all know how slow those are, so we lost by a couple cars. We went home, got my blue car out, and knew exactly where in the city he would be...on our local "spot" and he was in fact lined up on the bridge, waiting for me to pull up. I left him bad off the line, and got about 1.5 buses on him by 175mph.

We talked it over afterwards, he said he had a pulley, headers and exhaust. Said he didn't get to spray his 200 shot either. We then went and got a bolt-on Mach 1........let me just say, that wasn't pretty at all. We left him really hard, and had him by about 2.75 747's. ZR1s suck. I'd only buy one if I didn't know how to build a car and wanted to take the easy way out.

Very true. And in fact, LS1 > all other LSX's.

 

Id only buy a ZR1 if it was blue!

 

If I had the cash to buy one, I wouldn't care if it was puke green! Haha. Blue is pretty sexy though.

 

Out of all the colors I've seen in person it would be white followed closely by black for me. The white is pure sex.

 

I can totally see this happening!! I beat WSsicks buddys LT1 with my gf's v6 turbonator stang!! I didnt even wanna race the ZR1 cuz I knew it would be a waste of gas especially since I beat the LT1 by a Greyhound!!! Good job OP!!!

Why? the 305 TPI is an overweight pos. The 2.8L was a good motor but the one to have was the 3.1L big brother. V8 power with light weight. Can't imagine a ZR1 with that motor!

 

Sure...and there plenty of fast cars here on 10.5's or on 10.5W's. They aren't all LS1's though. Is a 3.78 @ 203mph in
the 1/8th fast enough for you? You should already know the answer to your question if you're a fan of the LSx platform.
There are some badass 10.5 and drag radial LSx cars here.

I liked mine too, but it was a long time ago and it was a cool car back then. It was slow as **** though. I was a dumb kid at that point so I thought it was a rocket.

 

I agree. My Dad had a 91 RS with a 305 TBI. That thing was a monster!

yup im with u 100% we have a car show every sat in richmond and the dumb bastards that show up is rediculous u ask em something about there car and they dont have a clue cuz they didnt build it and then they think its fast when it runs mid 14's
