Default Turbo civic bit off more than he could chew...

So here I am on the highway minding my own business talking with my cousin when we come up to this turbo civic. I just drove passed him at doing the speed limit and he immediately jumps behind me and gets right on my bumper. So I go down to second to let him hear what a real engine sounds like and he tries to do a fly by past me and I hear the BOV go off so I thought he might be a kinda fast but I give it a little extra and pass him rather easily. Im carbed and ive been having carb issues lately so when I shifted it kind of hesitated and so the civic driver starts to make gestures at my car like its got nothing on his civic. So then my big mouthed cousin asks him: You got a 4 banger in that thing? and starts to laugh at him. Now they are yellin at each other and I decided I had heard enough so at this point im in third and about 3k so I begin to accelerate kinda hard to get away from them and the guy in the civic thought I was trying to race him and he floors it. so I stay in 3rd and give it about 3/4 throttle and im hangin with him even though he was imitially about half car ahead of me. I wanted him to think he was winnin so I continued this till he shifted and then I floored it. Immediately I start pulling past him and by the top of third I had about 2 cars on him. I went into 4th and kept haulin till I was about 6 cars ahead. At this point I had to get off on the next highway(got on it at about 120+) because due to my speed I wasnt able to make the turn to keep on the original highway. So thats how it ended....kind of a shitty ending but I had loads of fun messin with this idiot...

Thanks for reading my long *** story, I was just kinda happy to put a ricer in his place....

Not of the "race" itself. Only an Idle vid of my car in the sig.

Thanks, last time I had it dynoed it had some stock camel hump heads, a Comp cams 280 H cam and edelbrock 600 cfm carb. My powerband fell on its face at 5k and it put down 242hp and 299tq on a Dynojet. I havent done it with this heads, cam, carb combo but I can feel I picked up HP but lost a lil TQ because the heads are way too big for the stock shortblock with recessed dish pistons. So Im saving up for a new shortblock so i can get the most out of them.

I raced a few ebay turbo kit hondas when I was intake and exhaust only and beat them by couple cars, so maybe its believable. Most likely its not 6+ cars haha thats a big gap

It depends. He didn't say it was a T3/T4 turbo Civic with a ported B16 head pushing 16psi. There are alot of idiots that own Civics...could have been a stock Civic with a $800 Ebay kit not tuned.

Good kill.

As a matter of personal policy, blow their doors off into the next zip code if they want to race. Give no quarter.

Good kill!

Reminds me of a kid I know from my old high school who always talked **** about his 400-600whp Hondas he owns. Turns out, his most priced possession, a 95 Civic, makes 330whp. Would like to see how his car runs with the new "10 second setup"

It sounds like he's got a healthy running car. Definately believeable.

I have a idiot "friend" that has a turbo "teggy" (as he calls it) with a ebay turbo kit and he thinks its gods gift to racing and something the domestic car owners as a whole should be afraid of. I think he's making like 230fwhp and it seems like something new is breaking daily. I think he's running low 14's.

Heres a video of a F/I civic I raced in my bolt-on LS1.
