So driving home with my girlfriend I spot non rot box fox body go by so I make my turn and pull behind it its a nice clean blue gt sounds nice and siting on some big DR's so I figure slightly modded. So I pull up flush and pass him with some purpose, he takes the hint and pulls up for the first of our two races.


1st race: we line up at about 35 for a roll I honk it off and I immediately pull half a car pretty much what I expected from a fox, but whats this a turbo? he's right next to me? now he's pulling away? we shut down at around 115 with him around a car ahead of me.

2nd race: we pull up next each other again both still in first gear right around 20 I again honk it off, I put about a car on him before I have to shift but then he stops my pull and bam at my quarter, bam at my fender, we shut down around 110 with him about a half car ahead of me.


really wish we could of had a dig race but he turned off after that I don't think he liked that a ls1 with headers and a lid stayed with his turbo stang that close oh and sorry about no videos I'll have some from my next kill whenever it happens

Probably wasn't setup correctly. I had a turbo 5.0 that ran 11.4@121mph on 8psi of boost. I ran a bolt on LS1 SS and it wasn't even close, I was running away from him.

Nice loss though.

I totally agree if it was a built turbo 5.0 I'm sure I would've had my doors blown off but I'm sure it was probably a stock motor with a turbo not running much boost or like you said the car not being set up right but either way I'm sure he was dissapointed hell who knows maybe he was just an awful driver

We have a stock fox body with a turbo slapped on it running around my town and that thing is pretty damn fast

There are tons of idiots out there that think just because they install X mod it will make their car as fast as this guy that did it too. Just doesn't work that way... You shoulda told him you just had bolt ons and asked him what was wrong with his car.

I'd guess around 350rwhp and 400rwtq or so if it was an average psi turbo on a stock motor. Sounds about right against a bolt-on LS1 then from a roll

it may have been an auto too, which would explain it also. they suck from a roll.

your telling me a car you know nothing about other than it had a turbo would blow me off the road? for all you know its a completely stock car with who knows what kind of turbo but yea your right he was probably just lulling me into a false sense of security lol and besides I'm sure I could build a 5.0 with a turbo that only runs low 13's

agreed supporting mods and good drivers are just as important and all in all it was a decent race and ended with a wave from both cars so its win in my book

+1 even a stock fox with a turbo can make 400rwhp and run 11s easy.

A stock motor 5.0 fox with a turbo(even a small one) and some little stuff in capable hands is an 11 second car with Dr radials and a stick. With a built tranny and converter it gets worse. I have built 5 of them(none 93s) and all would blow my LS right off the road. Stock heads(untouched),stock cam,and three stock intake manifolds. You run low 13s with one(turbo fox 5.0) you need a new hobby. No disrespect to your kill or your car was intended.

Good race! It's always nice to have a close race and then find out that the car you just raced should have blown you off the road, but didnt for whatever reason.

Similar thing happened to me with a supercharged 331 1995 GT when my Z28 was a bolt-on car. He just slightly pulled me and I figured it was a mild stroker or a strong heads/cam car. I was real happy when I found out the real mods, even if something wasn't right
