02 Supercharged CETA vs 08' H/C Z06 vs 06' Big Cam/E85 Z06
Finally got a few in car uns with some pretty evenly matched cars yesterday. The silver one is the same I ran at night and posted on here last week. Silver Z06 makes 577/516, and the other Black Z06 made 571/520. They each have made 10 sec passes on street tires in the 130-133 trapped speed range. My car makes around 630whp.
Initial walk around

60 roll......black Z06 missed gear

60 roll again...not my best speed, and did not hear 3rd honk. Went on black Z06 go.

Clean start around 60-Black Z06 and I shut down due to a car in front of us.

Last run from 70- clean run...when let off the silver Z06 was 3/4 in front of me, and the Z06 was another 3/4 length behind me. Was creeping back, but my limiter is set at 6200 rpms...killed me.

That silver Z must have some better under the curve numbers. It pulls away from that black Z quite a bit harder than I thought it would for only having 6 more whp and 4 lb ft of torque less. Is their any differences such as gearing etc that you know of? Maybe it was bc the black Z had a passenger and the silver Z didnt? Anyways good races your ta moves out for sure to be able to pull on a cammed C6Z!

We are convinced that the E85 conversion the silver Z made is what created the difference. Both have stock drivetrains, with stock gear ratios. The black Z06 pulled the silver one until he got E85...stuff really is amazing and makes fine tuning much easier. I am doing an E85 conversion on my boosted car...was told with the fine tuning capabilities that I will pick up another 40-50whp.

All 3 cars are close....an issue for me was my rpm limiter set at 6200 rather than its norm of 6800. Had I been able to crank up 600 more rpms I might have been able to creep back closer to him....oh well, did it for safety reasons. The silver Z06 jumps hard off the line....very impressive. I typically bust asses off the get go, but not with his...had to try to reel him, but not enough that time. lol

E85 in boosted cars performs equal to leaded 112 in terms of power output. It's $2.50 race fuel in turbo applications. The only problem with it is that it doesn't stay E85 year round. In the winter it can get to E70 or even lower, so if you run a very aggressive tune with it, it can cause big issues.
That said, i wish i could get it in RI.

Over the winters when less corn is grown they tend to dilute it to E70, but usually they still call it E85. That's an easy way to pop a heavily boosted engine.
Other than that (and the occasional issue with goo on injectors), the stuff is awesome.

Well, I am going to do the conversion.....parking the car over the winter and finishing my new build. Will do the E85 all at the same time. She'll be back mid-end of February.

Very nice cars and runs! Wow, just wow. Makes me wish my Firehawk was slower so I could run cars like that Jk. I guess no one will be saying that you weren't racing like in your Lambo vid lol. Props dude.

The Lambo was just a snack....tooooooo easy. These guys are my nemesis around here...we all go back and forth in power. They are going to have to step it up a bit more now. Thanks though......
