I did tree my brother in his 2011 5.0 though at a stop light if that counts, i had to let out cause i didnt want the motor to fall out of the car.

My friend has driven a pre-production Volt, and said it felt peppy for what little hp it had.

Now that is what I'm talking about! Perfect for this thread! Throw a 50 shot on it and go find some faster cars. That's what I'd be doing.

It's absolutely ridiculous how many races he gets in that thing. Whenever he goes for a ride, he tells me to grab the camera and there is ALWAYS someone willing to screw around with that car. It's fun as hell. I'm seriously considering the swap in my matching honda. Everything said and done was around 1200$ or so.

He's planning on getting a low-key cat back, and a tuned computer which raises the VTEC hit in the RPM band and supposedly adds 8-10 HP. That combined with the cat back should bring him into the mid-high 14's. He still rips off 36 mpg with it too!

I stand by my bottle comment. 50hp in that car would make it run with some actually decent cars. That + what you said would make it almost run with stock LT1's.

I think what you meant to say was "makes for a **** in your pants winter ride." Haha, what are you doing driving a car like that through CT snow? I attempted to drive my old 2000 TA through the snow one winter and saw my life flash before my eyes more than once.

I have an '01 SC2 with all the go fast mods!!! Like tint, AR rims, air box mod w/ K&N (power adder au supreme ), custom catback w/magnaflow bullet and rubbered up with sticky michelins lol. I'll have to get a couple kills in her for you, in the name of Saturn lol. It was 124 stock, so maybe I broke 130 hp now

*actually on a side not, I watched a vid a long time ago on youtube of a turboed Saturn sedan kickin' the crap out of a T/A or something similar. Priceless and funny at the same time

So it started off as a normal evening, me and my brother hopped into my other brothers lil Protagay. Were heading up to advance auto parts to see if they have a particular part im looking for. Well on the way to advance my brother lays into this lil protagay and it hardly moves, were all dying laughing at this poor car. So I start messing with him telling him my ole 86 rolla will get him.

So we finally leave advance and head home. We when we get home I call him out in the ole corolla. So I start her up and let it warm a bit, as it was still a lil warm bc I had just gotten off work not an hour prior. So we get on the road right in front of our house. So we head up the road to turn around so we could pass by the front of our house and my other brother could see who won.

Well in hopes to getting all the power I could to the wheels, I leave the electric fans off, which i've got hooked up to a toggle switch inside the car .. Oh and i've also got a mother natures cut out so that adds to the whopping 85hp from the factory she came with. Oh and I just seafoamed it and put new plugs in also, so i was ready lol.

So we turn around at the top of my road and I tell him lets run from a 20 kick and told him to honk it off lol.. So were rolling and I ****** low, pulling a few RPM's, and he does the same. So he starts honking it off, and on the 3rd honk we both hit it. Well my old carburetor didn't like all this sudden fuel so it kinda fell on its face for a second. So the ole Protagay jumped out about half a car on me, but once it cleared up and started pulling I stopped his pull. So were at about 35mph and I hit second and i'm right at his door looking at him dying out laughing as I start to steadily pull on him. At the top of 2nd or near it I had already put about 1 1/2 - 2 cars on him.. So I went ahead and hit 3rd and let out of it at about 60mph and the speed limit is 55 LMAO..

Wait what? A 93 5.0 Mustang made 243whp with just headers???
I better tell my friend with his e303 cam, gt40 heads and intake setup that made 245whp that he's doing it all wrong and shoulda just got headers and called it a day.

What kind of dyno were you on? Just seems real high for those mods. And not even just a little higher than average....thats what cam/ bolt on cars make. I know kids that had GT40 heads, cam, longtubes, cat back, and aftermarket intakes that were only making around 280 or so. Has it been rebuilt? More compression possibly? Not trying to give you a hard time at all....if you have dyno sheets, thats all you need I guess.

It was on a dynojet, i dynoed at forced induction motor sports in east hartford, ive seen a few full bolt on 5.0's makes right around 245 wheel as long as there in good shape, It seems like alot of 5.0 mustangs are hit or miss ive seen guys with h/c/i make 260 and seen guys make 300+ so idk, i kno mine's not a fast car but i got it for dirt cheap with 90,000 orignal miles.

This will be its second winter as my beater it really isnt that bad in the snow, just keep it under 50
