**Official Winter Beater Kills Thread** Since some of us live in places where we have all 4 seasons and put the fast/nice cars away for a while, and others have said they have stories/vids of these races. I thought it would be cool to keep this going all winter since the slow cars get beat on too!
That and the real kills will die down over winter, expect for the Southern guys. I know a lot of guys have issues with non-LS car stories, and especially when they are slow or non-GM vs. non-GM stories, so this will allow for all of them to be compiled in 1 thread and not fill up the forum with slow cars. 
The slower the better! Nothing faster than 14.5!

So does mine, the 14.5 comment was a joke. But I do drive my dad's car on occasion, so I can contribute. This is what I'm taking about!PSM & nightmareTA had some stories, so did lightningteg. I think PSM even had a video, so this could be fun.

I'll post mine from last weekend to get things rolling.
Coming home from work, drove my dad's 05 Focus ZX4 5 speed that day, when I happened to see a **** yellow CRX with a wing and a fart can accelerating then slowing by this Duramax, and he keeps doing the same thing about 3 or 4 times. I decide to catch him and see if he is game. Duramax wants no piece of him, so he does a little fly by and takes off barely pulling away from the Dmax. I speed up to 85 or so to catch him when he slowed down. I guess he saw me coming up quick (pretty open highway, little traffic) because he got on the brakes once I got close.
He slows down and revs at me. I can't really rev the Focus since it's the quietest car ever, so I just nod and hold up "4" then "5" for a 45 roll. He nods so I give him 3 fingers. He shakes his head and points at me, then forward meaning take the hit. Sweet, I need it!
I drop it into 3rd around 45, and take off. I hear him hit it a second later and after what seemed like an eternity, let off around 100 about 2 cars ahead. Let off, so did he. This time he points at himself, and guns it around the same 50mph. He jumps out and puts me on his bumper by the time I downshifted. I catch him as I'm 3rd and put him about at my bumper by 100 again.
This time I slow down, he motioned to want a 35 roll, which I'm not going to do on a highway. We proved who was faster, so I just waved no thanks. He gave me a thumbs up, I didn't give him one since his car was pretty
. Besides the park bench and Foldger's can, he had blue seats and one of those yellow/green JDM new driver stickers or whatever they are. Kind of a dick move, but whatever. He drove off, probably to race someone else.

In the south our winter beaters are our regular cars so its no different than normal.
I put bout a car on a TT 300 ZX a few weeks ago from about 40 to 90. is turbos and BOV was so loud I couldnt even hear my exhaust at WOT which is pretty impressive.

Must be the DX or whatever the tiny motor is. Sadly, when my car sells, that's what I'll be buying. That's why I put the preface on the top of the thread. You warm weather guys don't have to put them away.

^^I might have you beat for the slowest winter vehicle...
Winter beater is a 2002 4cyl auto S10 w/ 125k miles. Intake, tune, and e-fan brought it from high 18s to 17.4@79mph (not kidding). Stock stall is nearly 3k and stock rear end gear is 4.10, so it's not as horrific as it should be from a dig, but damn it's slow from 60 onward.
I ran a 2.0 non-turbo golf 5-speed from a dig. I got about 2 cars on him by the end of first gear, and he slowly reeled me in, catching me at 90ish, which is well past the end of 1/4 mile. It had to be every bit of 25 seconds wide open.
Another funny one was a 60 roll against an early 90s 1.5L auto civic. I got about 2 cars on him 60-80, but by 90 he was passing me. lost that one by a nose when i hit my 93mph speed limiter. Lmao.
Winter sucks...i did take the Talon out tonight though

Now the goal is finding something I CAN beat in my winter beater 03 Eclipse - I'll try and find some local Prius in town to pick on.
God, I'm turning into one of those people I hate. Racing other slow cars with my already slow as hell car to make me feel better about myself and in the attempt to get a kill story

Ill be out on the prowl in my newly given, free 1997 monte carlo with 185k miles. It is a V6 though. Kinda fun to have a beater i havent had one in quite some time. Ill be looking to be the first to race a new Chevy Volt when they are released.
I did tree my brother in his 2011 5.0 though at a stop light if that counts, i had to let out cause i didnt want the motor to fall out of the car.

I raced my dad's 1999 Pontiac Montana with a 3.4L 185hp/210tq V6 against my buddies A4 2002 Toyota Corolla...
I've gotta tell you, either the van has some ***** or the Toyota is DIRT slow (probably mostly the latter).
From a dig, we both stalled up, and it was as if he wasn't even 1/2 throttle (he later said he was indeed WOT). I pulled two cars within 3 seconds, and as the mph climbed, it only got worse and worse...I let off around 50 to let him catch up. He was about 5 cars back, and when he finally reached my rear bumper, I floored it again and pulled pretty damn hard through 80.
I've raced the van against another buddy's 99whp CRX, lost to that (but not as bad as when I yanked the Corolla).
Also raced a 2000ish Mercury Sable, beat that fairly easily.
