If a stock or similarly modded LT1 holds it's own against a stock or similarly modded LS1. The LS1 has problems, that's all there is to it. The last LT1 that i raced put down 280 rwhp, and also has a 6 speed with 3.73 gears. Needless to say I laid waste to him pretty easily. He got me off the line only because he had DR's to my street tires. Then I pretty much passed him like he was standing still. Pulled about 4 cars on him from 40 to 80, once i got traction. That same LT1 also pulled the same 3 valve that i raced, and a few others he says.

I will promise you that you could build a heads and cam LS1 and I could build a heads and cam LT1 that would embarrass you.

Yea I got it back in Oct. Its a 97 LS with 85k miles. Milano Red with black interior and 5 speed. Here it was after I bought it...

So far I've done timing belt/water pump, AEM SRI, 5k HIDs, Enkei RPF1's 16x7 35 offset, and Ground Control coilovers on the way..should be here Monday.


Oh and I've got a turbo waiting to go on too. That is after I lower it.

Well duh. If were talking H/C/I builds, since that's the only real difference there is between an LT1 and an LS1. Obviously not all H/C/I set-ups are the same. I was mainly talking about basic mods. Or cam/bolt-on only cars. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Its all good. Just so you know there are a lot more differences between a LS1 and LT1 than just H/C/I. They share nothing except they are both GM engines.

LT1s are actually pretty cheap. I saw one locally a while back for $500, with a small cam & VT ****. Good deal if anyone is looking for cheap power.

Mystic, to redeem yourself, you need to take out the GTP and race it against your catfish. Obivously you will need to find (make?) a friend to do this.

ALSO, matt is one weird ************. Original powerrangers was the best. It never should have ended. Saw it live one time, pinnacle of my life....at age 5.
