You won't see proof of it because he can't show you any. A 2-valve dipping in the 13's STOCK is as rare as an LS1 going 12.9's! If that wasn't the case then you could easily find an example.

I'm not going to do the minimal leg-work for him... the cars were made for 5 years, starting 12 years ago. It might not be incredibly common for them to run in the 13s, but it happened. And it's documented.

He is just simply pointing out that in the info posted, the 2v ran a 14.0 and the LS1 ran a 13.7. So from that, why can we say that the LS1 can get 4, 5, 6, etc. tenths faster, but the GT can't drop 1 tenth to make it into the 13s?

If you knew me, you would know I am not mad. Nor was anything you posted a call out.

Though If I was to ask what your post above was, I would have to label it a projection.

Projection:
Psychological projection or projection bias is a psychological defense mechanism where a person unconsciously denies their own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, such as to the weather, or to other people. Thus, it involves imagining or projecting that others have those feelings.

Like I said, he's either a complete idiot, or a horrible troll.

He has already posted two links that proved that 2vs can get into the 13s. Don't know why he posted them considered they proved him wrong. But he posted them non-the-less.

I'm not looking to make assumptions here. I just wanted to see where a stock 2v has gone 13's. So far no one has been able to show me. I can however show where a stock LS1 has gone 13.5 or quicker many times over. That's AVERAGE for LS1 F-bodies. Get my drift? No......

It may have happened but it's nowhere near common for 2v's. A New Edge GT is an average 14-second car, just like an LT1 Z28 or Firebird.

Yes, I get your drift. I knew what you were (are) saying. It isn't hard to believe someone has gone that 1 tenth faster, but yes you are correct in that no one has come forward with proof. I'm just playing the mediator here. I just hope that if someone posts a slip, vid, or thread of a 13 you won't be one of those guys that says "he's probably lying."

Don't shoot the messenger.

Not a big fan of drag times, but this guy claims to be stock from the looks of it...the DA would realllllly help him out being a vert.

Driver's comments: "Car was completely stock, dirty air filter and spare tire along for ride."

I will admit, finding stock times is very hard. I guess that applies for all cars though. I saw a guy claim a 12.69@110 with a stock LS1 with only DRs.

That guy is a member here. Can't remember his screen name but I ran across him a few times in the tech sections. Witnesses say it's 100% legit and I believe it considering some have gotten 12.80s/90s on street tires. night and day difference with drag radials.

Another thing too his car was optioned with lid/exhaust from SLP fwiw.

The mph was pretty damn high too. Great air might help that though. Wish I would have had made some passes stock. Actually, I wish I made more passes on my current mods, would have done better than a shitty 12.66.

The mph is fine with me... like I said, I've seen a WS6 run a 12.99 @ 110mph with just a lid.
