"With a good suspension/tire combo, a well driven manual 2v bolt-on GT at full weight is capable of high 12s. Pretty much everything after that has to be made up by weight reduction (since power isn't going up). If you look at the fastest N/A 2v mustangs out there, the one thing they all have is SERIOUS weight reduction."
"Interesting it seems like what'd you'd be looking at on stock weight then would be in the 12.8+ area."
"I have run multiple 12.9 passes on my car with minor bolt-ons, a good tune, drag radials and a suspension setup for autocross. 12.91@104.9 and a 1.76 60ft time being the fastest, and the only weight reduction was taking the rear and passenger's seat out, and of course the spare tire.
I wonder what it'll do on a suspension setup for drag racing and more aggressive tire?
Hell, I don't even have headers on my car."

BTW: my brothers bone stock '01 Firebird- M6 car with 2.xx (2.76 I believe) gears on crappy All Season stock tires ran 13.4, 13.3, 13.3 his first (and last) time he took it to the track back in '02. And he was hot lapping it, zero cooldown. And that was at notoriously slow Pacific Raceways in Seattle- a legit, NHRA track where my full bolton/stock stall GTO ran 12.9 in aprx. same DA 10 yrs later.
On the humorous side of that track day, my brothers wife did her first time ever pass in that car. Unfortunately for her, she had been talking SO MUCH SMACK about how she was such a good driver and she could outdrive my brother, etc. etc. etc. that when the time finally came to put up or shut up she was in trouble.
Being that she was normally a overcaffienated, hyperactive ADD poster child, she of course dramatically screwed up. She did a 5k dump followed by WOT, bounced horribly off the rev limiter while spinning so bad she was barely moving through all of 1st and 2nd gear. She ran a 19.xx @ 90mph 1/4 mile time and was crying and bawling so bad that she wouldnt even roll her window down to talk to us for a solid 30 minutes- just sat there idling the car with the A/C on. Crowd loved it though: they thought she meant to do the giant smokeshow down half the track!
She was still very upset and embarrassed when she finally made it up to the fence next to me. My brother had her car in line and was coming up (We both had assured her that her time wouldnt be the worst of the day, surely someone would be slower than her 19seconds!) Trying to be helpfull, I pointed out the new dealer plate equipped stretched Lincoln limo that had ended up next to my brother in the burnout box-
"That thing has to be slower than 19 seconds!" I said. She perked up and stopped wiping her eyes as she watched it line up and do its 1 tire burnout. My brothers data flashed first: 13.4seconds. She wimpered. Finally the limo's time flashed: 18.5 seconds. She burst into tears again and fled to my brothers IROC in the pits: didnt see her again that day.

Iv argued with LS1 owners on here saying 99 and UP Gts 5 speeds are 13 sec cars at seal level. But on the flip side of that coin its very rare at the track to see a full weight one with bolt ons crack 12s on any kind of tire. Sorry Kevin I have to disagree with that since I am at the track every weekend. Best mod hands down for one is a blower-with supporting mods low 12s all day with tires and full weight.
Pretty rare Puck for a bolt on Lt1 F body at full weight to get in the mid 12s with bolt ons with the stock cams and no 1.6 rockers and springs...
