To be fair.. we can compare the fastest standing mile Viper vs the fastest standing mile TTG.

Viper 233 mph

TTG 250mph

In the other corner, we have this pulley/tuned ZR1 giving a TT Gallardo on race gas a hard time.

This is getting fun!

And I know from experience the gearing on the Vette's especially the Z06 and I assume the ZR1 are amazing. In the same time that the other car shifts gears, the Vette will still pull. Yeah.. I miss my black and yellow.

Lambo's have always shined at top speed. I'll give them that.

On the flipside, in terms of drag racing the Viper owns that catagory.

Which brings me to my next question, what's the fastest Gallardo 1/4 mile record?

That Viper owner was a clown for running 1100rwhp on Pirelli 20" radials. Your not hooking with those. With all those mods you would think he would of atleast threw some better tires out back.

Good kill, I guess...but...I just puked in my mouth a little. You lay it on too thick pal, waaaay too thick. I really think I won't be reading anymore of your posts dude, maybe it's just that you are just too good for us "clean ws6" driving losers lol. I mean, have you ever actually read anything you typed? You sound a little bit snooty, but in the worst way. I'm sure you had fun though and I guess that's all that really matters.

Correct. And that ZR1 gave me a 'hard time' to 140 or so, after that the Gallardo would run away. BTW, that ZR1 went 10.6@140 - hotlapping the car.

Remember, my Gallardo only made 700 whp on high boost. It was just a bolt on kit, not a built motor. On the street, my $$ is on a TT Gallardo each and everytime vs a big powered TT Viper. The way Gallardos put the power down to the ground is unreal!

Yeah, I remember you talking about how great 6th gear was. Wouldn't the car peg 6th gear?

Yup. Do you remember the first race I had with the ZR1 where he was stock and the race took place to 200 mph? lol, well in that race I nicked the rev limiter in 6th gear..

Gallardos pull really, really hard up top, at 150+. Their 6th gear ratio is like .9:1 and it takes them up to 200. Combine that with the power of a TT set up and a wedge like looking body style (aero), that car is POTENT on the big end.

When I was contemplating a UGR TT build for my Gallardo, Kevin (owner of UGR) told me that he would put his $ on a TT Gallardo any day of the week vs. a TT Viper.

That video that was posted in this section of the Orange TT Gallardo vs. the Silver TT Viper, well I know the owners of both of those cars and that Gallardo was NOT running on kill mode. It was running a 50/50 mix of race and pump gas and it was not running 26 lbs of boost. Read the first comment you see on that youtube page. There is a quote from the owner of the Gallardo (Kyle)

Just an FYI for everyone.

My $$ on the TT Viper everytime. Without thinking twice.

FWIW, my brothers old Heffner TT put down 1102whp on Pump Gas. Hard to beat the mighty 8L V10.

Uh one of the Superforums members just had his Gallardo done at UGR. 1001 rwhp on PUMP GAS with a conservative tune. He made 1536 rwhp on race gas.
To the the other guy that says I dont know Vipers? LOL, I pretty much keep an eye on everything that makes big horsepower. I have several friends with Supercharged and TT Vipers so yeah, I know them rather well. If I remember correctly a UGR TT Gallardo went 8.1 at 160 mph on TOYO R888 tires. THAT'S A STREET RADIAL tire. So unless you are going to drive around on slicks 24/7 I say my money is on the Gallardo.
