LIKE MOST TROLLS, YOU HAVE NUTHIN POSITIVE TO SAY. lol

From the looks of his car i doubt he spent a fortune on mods, and @ 17lbs im pretty sure it will stay together for a long time to come.

Sounds like you know absolutely nothing about cars and are a GM fanboi. Hopefully your stay here is short, we don't need another moron posting in this section.

FWIW, the 1900hp Ford GT 266mph mile car is on the stock shortblock. I'd love to see any LSX do that.

The mods didn't cost that much and I did them myself. The mods were pretty easy to do. The power is well within the safe limits for a stock block. The engine certainly isn't on the "edge" of self destruction or anything LOL. I've been running fast cars for quite a while now. Its a daily driver when I don't want to drive my truck. It doesn't sound like you really know what you are talking about. I have owned several GM's and Fords and like them both.

Do you have a slip for that?

I'll search your sig for more info. The reason I ask is my wife keeps asking me to switch back to a Cobra or GT500 since we had our little girl and I'm building a C6.

When I had my KB Cobra with every bolt on (630-640rwhp 2.8KB) it ran a best of 10.3x but only at 133mph and that was with the new owner, I only street raced it. If you're able to get 138mph with low boost (I ran 20-21lbs on 93 with my Cobra) you're the fastest I know of, even on Dragtimes (IIRC).

What did your stock blower run? I'll shoot you a pm for more info if needed.

I had a 75 shot on it but I have since removed it. I'm just not a big nitrous guy I like the power on tap all the time and don't like the hassles of bottles. I had a 2.85 upper pulley the dyno was done on a 3.35 pulley. I switched back to a 3.25 because it provides a safer margin running 93 octane. Plus my 23 yo son drives the car some and I didn't want him using the nitrous pulley combo on the street. lol I also ran skinnies, MTs, Bogarts, and a N2MB WOT box. I have a slip but I haven't tried scanning it yet. The 138 trap is pretty typical for GT 500s running that time if that is what you want to know. The stock blower made 440 stock and 540 with JLT CAI, 2.65 upper and a dyno tune.

Here are some times from SVTP which is probably the best source. IMHO

What do you "think" it would trap with the 3.25, no shot and full weight (stock wheels-etc)?

I'm just weighing my options. I know I'll get my C6 to trap around 135-137 N/A with the shortblock but it's still a 2 seater. So just considering, nothing more.

Stock wheels and tires? Don't know but the stock 285s are pretty useless IMHO

Chris a guy I know with the same setup minus the shocks ran in the 9s @ 142.73 with his 2.9 whipple GT 500 but I would imagine he is a better driver than me. He was running MTs and bogarts too.

I built my car primarily for the street their are lots of exotics in my neighborhood and I wanted some American muscle to shut them down with. My neighbor tried his Galardo and it didn't go well for him.

As she sits now C6ZO6 don't do that well but I probably haven't found a heavily modded one yet. lol I have a lot of respect for C6ZO6 though. Its hard to beat such a lite platform. I have been considering buying a clean used one. I always say a GT500 needs 125-150 more hp to win.

If you come up against a GT500 with stock tires and wheels I wouldn't worry to much about it. LOL

Nope, just don't blindly worship 1 platform, that's all. I'll leave that for automach1 or someone else.

Nothing wrong in liking Fords no matter what LSX lovers might think. GM and Ford both make some nice cars.

that 2.9 is making good power at 17 psi... is it on 93 only or do you have a 109 track tune ?

The 712 is a Torko tune for extra safety. But there are those that run over 700 on 93 I just like to play it safe.
