Sorry man, but TOTALLY different "League" of car.
Thats like racing a 2010 Camaro SS vs. a Base C6 LS2 Vette. They have 5-7mph trap differences, and one is MUCH faster than the other.
Like I said, different leagues.
His Whipple GT500 vs a stock ZR1? Of course it's a whole different league of car. LOL

The ZR1 has wen't 9's at 144+ on the stock blower fyi.

That Lingenfelter ZR! is an impressive car for sure but to be fair it isn't a pony car and the blower isn't stock its a modified stock blower. Its screaming fast for sure. Tony [Thebull] runs low 9's with a full weight street GT 500 with stock Eaton blower on it. Oh yeah it has a couple of turbos as well. But yes Lingenfelter builds some crazy cars.

Here is Gt 500 with a stock long block and a 2.8 Kenny Bell and a terrible wing Thank God it looks like they eventually removed it.

That ZR1 sounded nasty. I think he was using the NLS too, god that'd be fun.

GT500 minus the wing would be awesome. Looked evil.

Modified meaning ported? Incorrect.

That is a stock MP 112 with upper/lower pulleys & snout.

Modified means not stock as GM made it. For example after market performance modifications like upper/lower pulleys & snout.

I meant factory-installed Eaton. Not an upgraded KB or Whipple like what you have.

740rwhp without even porting the stock blower is just awesome.

That would be awesome but in other places it rates the Lingenfelter ZR1 as 680 BHP which means engine hp without water pump, alternator or drive train loss. And if you think about it 9.93 for a Corvette with 740 hp isn't that impressive. I suspect the ZR1 in the video is 740 BPH not WHP. Shelby's are running times similar to that with 740 whp range and weighing 600lbs more. But who knows for sure what they meant by 739 hp..

Lingenfelter

Regardless of what it's making to the tire, 9.93@144 with nothing more than pulleys, snout, tune and a tire is Insane! Stock manifolds and cat-back for gosh sakes.

Wonder what a Ported blower would do? Better yet, a KB or Whipple.

That car actually has gone 9.8/145 with the same bolt-on mods:

"The Lingenfelter 2009 ZR1 Corvette just made its first 9 second run December 7, 2009 with the Lingenfelter LS9 supercharger upgrades. This pass was 9.861 @ 144.67 MPH! Later that day we made another run and went 9.813 @145.74 MPH! It features the latest version of our supercharger upgrades including our pulley upgrade, overdrive balancer, air intake modifications, intercooler improvements and tuning. This was run with stock exhaust manifolds and factory cat back exhaust with Mild to Wild Switch."

- Lingenfelter

The 9.93 video run and 9.8 runs were all made the same day.

I can't wait until they make a KB or Whipple setup for our cars!

Nice kill.... BTW, there are lots of car meets here in the DFW metroplex that have quite a few cars with your hp and more. It's starting to warm up and the RKC meets are going to start up again. You should attend one of these meets. You'll find some good races up there. I know a couple of guys that have KB on their gt500's, one with a 2.8 and the other has a mamoth. Not sure of what power they put out exactly, but that's only cause of the bags of sand they carry in their trunks... LOL

Its a TVS running 17.8 psi. I believe there are TVS shelbys making about the same hp. The TVS blower is a good blower. Don't Ford GT's come with TVS blowers also?

ALWAYS happens. apples to apples, and the side that loses quotes some rediculous situation.

well a 1,000hp 2300lb 914 porsche will beat you. who gives a crap.

a dry sump, 6.2 liter, HANDBUILT, aftermarket modded, 105,000.00 plus mods car HAD BETTER BEAT EVERTYTHING ON THE PLANET.

I'm sure there are a lot of cars on this forum that cost a lot less and are faster.

there are 8 second gt500's. im sure there are 7 second vette's. six second this, 5 second that.

you know, there are cadillac's out there now that i can brag about. i resist talking about dragstrip GT500 kills by V's.

im done.
