Lucky man. I wish I could have got my hands on a clean gen 1, not that I don't love my bike. But the gen 1 bikes are one of my favorites and apparently everyone elses as well.

Yeah I like my friend's 2007 and it runs really well. Nothing to be ashamed of at all. There's just something about the gen 1 that does it for me though. They are a great bike and since it's my track bike, I have spent a lot of money and time on the suspension to tune out some of the twitchiness the gen 1 is known for. Still a beast though!

Your bike sounds awesome. Got any pictures of it? It sure does suck how the best hobbies are the most expensive. I need to start playing checkers or something.

Thanks! These hobbies definitely get really expensive and I still have to take care of a few things on it, let alone the rest of my toys. I only have some pics of me at the track with water marks on the pictures. I'll PM you some photos later.

Hmmm I bought my power commander used and it had a decent map on it. I just went to a dyno day and they dudes tweaked it a little bit.

ill stick with my "little" 600

i just passed this gsxr 750 going into turn 1 at gateway. never saw him again.

wife told me she couldnt tell who was who so for my next race i added some color

A lot of people don't like the 3rd gen but I am a fan. I think everyone that doesn't like them has never rode one!

ive rode 2 3rd gens,and they are by far the better bike but looks wise, not for me..

I definitely agree. They have grown on me a little since I rode them. I think it might be a love it or hate it type thing.
