Last friday when it was real nice out here on the east coast I took the bike out for my first enjoyable ride of the winter. Had a pretty good ride, felt good to ride without numb hands. I stopped at the Chick Fil A to snag me a Char Grilled and there was a group of pretty nice cars that I guess took them out because of the nice weather. I ate my food and went over to check them out.
There was a nice looking 03/04 Cobra with a KB blower on it. The guy started redlining it in the parking lot, immediately getting my douchometer to start getting some good readings. I really liked the car so I tried to ask him some questions and the dude didn't know anything about his own ride. Not to mention he was a total assbag, you could tell he thought he was hot ****. I asked him if he had any plans to take it to the track. He said no but he had a few runs on the highway already and even beat some bikes. I said "yeah with your set up you might be in the same area as some 600s." He said he thinks they were 1000s, I just rolled my eyes. I was starting to walk away to head home, then he asked me if I wanted to have a run and I said no thanks. He then asked me if I wanted to bet and I couldn't help it but I said "I don't want to take your money man." He offered a bet of $100, I do not like to take advantage of people. I said "are you sure? I am not a 600 and I am not stock." He still wanted to go.
I took him to a straight where I like to open my bike up. It is about a 3 or 4 mile straight slightly downhill in an open area, you can literally see everything. He wanted to go from a roll, cool with me. To clarify I am on a 2007 ZX10 with some weight loss, full exhaust, a custom MAP, I put 171 to the wheel on 93 octane. We lined up and got to about 40 mph. He honked and I rolled on the throttle as to try and not pull the front but it came up a little bit still. I shifted and watched him disappear in my mirror. I shut it down around with my speedo reading 160, so a little slower. It was not close. I used his money to get my rear sets, passenger pegs and a few others things powder coated.

Thanks fellas. Here is a few shots of the bike when I first got her. I have spent around a grand on it since then. I will post the after shots when she is put back together in a week or so. Apparently someone was jealous and wanted to be included in the one picture.

I have only taken this bike to the track once and that was for ***** and giggles. I have an adjustable lowering link on so I slammed it. My best run was 9.44 at 147 with this set up. I weight about 165 pounds. I am not really into dragging bikes. I am probably going to get a cheap 600 to get track ready.

This is what kill posts without videos are all about. Nice.
I can picture this perfectly seeing you standing there eating your sandwich all non-nonchalantly and this guy talking ****.

Nice kill man! I have an 04 ZX-10 that is my dedicated track bike and I love it. Way to represent the 10s!
