No, It does not. Please save the argument.. or ask Wssick or someone lol. I'm on my phone amd not going through texting why.

Lol.. you can't use that from a dig.. it would totally depend on the launch/60'/et on how many car lengths It was. I can out mph u by 3mph and If our et matches we will be dead even at the end.

40-120 is going to be about two lengths. But again, just because car a out traps and makes more power than car b doesn't mean it will win in a roll race with that lose of a trap.
It is easier to judge stock or simple mod cars with same trans in roll racing judging off traps.. but when you cross say cam only territory and different platforms, anything can happen.

Just FWIW, Jamie Furman ran faster than Ranger in a stock Z06... 10.98 @ 129mph on the runflats, I believe.
I never realized you were so bias!! The 2 cars wouldn't even be close in a race (I am talking in terms of what the 2 cars are capable of, not how the average person can drive them). How can this even be a good point. Besides this is not an apples to apples comparison. We need to stick with the Camaro vs Mustang debate and leave the rest alone..

Guess I just got a hard on for those plastic rockets
Because roll racing is for pussies and the fact that more things come into play when roll racing like weight and aerodynamics which both favor the vette. But a bolt on '11 gt will be a good run with a stock ls3 vette that is a fact

I still say regardless of 1/4 mile times, the Stang will not stand up to the Vette from a roll, not with just boltons that is.
Never look at 1/4 times when you are talking about street racing. I've seen high 10 second cars get beat by low 12 second on the street. You have to remember that under normal circumstances you aren't going to leave as hard on the street as you will at the track. This is why mph is the key factor here. And 3 mph can make a big difference on the street..

And a 2011 Camary will be a good race for a GT500 Cobra and thats a fact!!

Come on here guys, lets stop with the (if you add bolt-ons and a tune to it will be a good run with that car) argument. I hate when people argue these points. It makes no since at all to make these claims. Making an arguement about 2 cars that have similar mods makes more since. I could rape a stock LS3 vette, 2011 Mustang 5.0 or GT500 with no issues but again it's not a fair comparison.

Why can't we compare two cars unless they have the same mods? I didn't know there were rules to bench racing

Also, I think a full exhaust/intake/tune 2011 GT would be a good race for a stock LS3 vette

Bolt on 11 GT vs an 09 CTS-V would be sweet.

I'm confident the LS3 C6 would start trucking around 90mph and given they usually trap 116-119 (bench racing) but it is a great comparo since they can both be had now for $30K.

I was (still am kinda) on the fence on getting a 5.0. My neighbor has a Black one with the Comp Gray wheels and Brembo's and I love it. Having a N/A street car that traps 130-135 is my goal with my C6 and that's not gonna happen with a 5.0 (N/A).

You can bet your *** the build quality of the 5.0 is better than a C6- (personal experience with 3 C6's)

I've never raced a bolt-on 2011 GT, but I have raced LS3 vettes and based on the power bolt-on 5.0's make I bet it would be a great race unless they took it to infinity and beyond. I'm not saying that I think one or the other is a sure thing, but some people are making it out like it would be a one sided race.

You're kidding, right? MANY people have done 11.xx @ 116-118mph in bolt-on/tuned '11 GTs. Seems pretty damn close to an LS3 Vette to me. I'M the biased one?

Good race until it gets to 90 and up, after that it's all LS power taking the win.

Yeah as much as I like the 5.0, I think it's best to keep the comparos down to the SS cars and challengers etc. The vettes packing an ls3 or greater just seem out of this territory, and once you add bolt ons, well nuff said. I'd still watch the race though, don't get me wrong lol

I understand this but there is so much that comes into play with these 2 cars. The Mustang is the new king of Camaro/Mustang wars but the vette is in a class by it's self. The lighter more power car will win. Put bolt-ons on the Mustang to beat the vette then install bolt-ons on the vette and it will pull away. I know these new Mustangs are no joke and seem to easily run away from the 2010+ Camaros but like I said the vette is in a different class so it's hard for me to compare the 2 fairly.
