Road in the Competion today. 5.0 Well I know the is SRK secation but i took some vids off my phone to show Y'all what your up against.
My car is not out of the shop yet, but i stopped at the local speed shop, Kevin the owner of the Grabber Blue 2011 GT 5.0 was explaining how he Handed this New camaro its behind. I agree the camaro is a pig in the weight dept, but I wasnt sure how fast the 5.0's are. He showed me the car. Stock motor, 6-Speed ,factory cold air, and striaght pipes and has 3800 miles on it, I beleve is what Kevin said. So I asked him for a ride to see how the car felt. Pulls Like crazy, has a 7G red line, and sounds SWEET. We looked for some thing to play with for 4 exits and back, with no luck. Very Cool guy, Nice car Kevin, and thanks for the ride in your new 5.0

Its moving but basically you have a loud car with straight pipes driving fast. I could have someone record my z28 doing a 0 to 130 in car video. It moves but you would have the same result. A loud car going fast! He should do a video of the stang actually running someone and then we can appreciate it.

Its moving but basically you have a loud car with straight pipes driving fast. I could have someone record my z28 doing a 0 to 130 in car video. It moves but you would have the same result. A loud car going fast! He should do a video of the stang actually running someone and then we can appreciate it.

I test drove one with 3.73's and I have to admit it was very impressive. Super nice interior, awesome ride, and very quick for a stock car. I drove a new SS immediately after, but it was an A6, so not apples to apples. It was nice, but IMO gave up a lot to the new 5.0. It'd be a very tough call if I was in the market for a new car.

I keep thinking a stock ls3 vette runs high 11's.. you really think a stang running 12.7's will cut into the 11's with just a intake and tune? I vote no.

Thank everyone,I hoped Kevin would comment. I enjoyed the ride, we looked for some fun, but had no luck. I have his number when i get the camaro back we can get a comparison video, or when we start up our Tues night street drags.

Carlisle I would have to disagree my buddies 5.0 with 3.73's tune and exhaust stayed with me for a bit and i have a 2009 vette he also handed me my *** in my stock G8 GXP

It's a beautiful car, and very well built. By no means am I saying it's not possible for a bolt-on and tuned 2011 to see high 11's, I just doubt an intake and tune would put him there.
