It is sorta funny how you have the exact brand of heads of the Ranger, exact cam, and mention it's a 306 (if anyone did a 306 intentionally to "pick up power" they are a retard, this is usually the result of refreshening the short block), then say "used" headers on the Ram as if to downplay them and make sure to say it's a stock LS1 swapped in...not to criticize but if it wasn't stock wouldn't you just list the mods like you did on the Ranger? Almost reminds me of how Ju1ce mentioned people talking up others' cars and talking down their own...

Good kill. He probably came up with the fuel system line because he got raped.

It's basically my old car's mods, in a heavier vehicle. Brad does like to downplay his cars though...
edit: When did you get the LS6 intake? Or have you always had it and I just never noticed? (If you said it in the video, I didn't hear it since I'm in class and can't use sound.)

With the build of that 306, he'll be lucky to make 300hp, let lone 500... rwhp is probably around 230. There's simply no chance a build like that could possibly make 500hp in real life. Besides, the block would probably split. Like many, he's probably able to run mid-high 14's as it sits. The cam isn't good for any worthy heads, etc.
Does the ram still have 4X4? If so, was it in 4wd? It's not a shock to see it run off from a 306 Ranger, but whatever... it clearly runs well. Good job!
For the record, my brother built a 302 Ranger(several of them, actually, but 2 for himself) and his would easily run 12's N/A. There's a difference between "done correctly" and simply, done... That guy needs a "real" cam, and more. EFI would be a proper step. The one in the video reminds me of my brothers 1st build, except he used EFI from the start. That ran 14.4's or so when he 1st did it, using stock ported heads and a split duration cam.

I can't even count how many 3rd gen tools I see talking about how thier 80's truck 350 engine swap with an RV cam is a 450 HP engine. I get quite the kick out of it actually.
Sweet truck too by the way! Love lifted trucks....lowered trucks are for women that don't want thier skirt to rise up while climbing into a mans truck.

When (or if) you do connect things, that'll be a jumper from zero... Prolly hit 30 and even 60 in no time. It may fall on its face thereafter while in 4X4, but it would sure be fun till then.
Hey, tell the guy with the Ranger that it would be easier to make it quick if he either put it back to stock height or get it tubbed and add massive wheels and tires so as to make up for all that geometry smashing lowered suspension. I just know it can't hook if it has the power to turn those tires over at all, which it should since it's light back there. Still, it's not a high powered engine. That cam ... that wretcched little cam... Man, he could get a Lunati split duration for less and make use of the heads. Prolly combined, he could see 25-50hp increase. E-cams are great... for 1991. Today it's a waste of money.
