You said you two could do nitrous runs or motor runs. Still doesn't answer what your LT1 has done to it. His mods are out on the table...

I'm all for "run what you brung", I'm just wondering if we are talking apples to apples here.

I'd like to see this race with the Cobra having 4.56 gears, sticky tires, and a tune. I say this because I'm not sure how well a cam helps out a LT1. Nice car though, my very first loss was from a bolt on LT1.

I was in the 12's with a cam and bolt ons in Denver with my LT1 car. Years ago.

Thanks. It's up to him if he wants to run or not, his car seems pretty quick for what it is. He lives pretty close to me I believe, so it would be easy to set something up.

12.99 is alot different than 12.00

I just don't know much about LT1s. I've had my hand assed to me a couple times by them but the fast ones you just don't run into alot. So I don't put much R&D into them. Not to mention the Honda should banish all LT1s once I put the Skunk2 short throw shifter in and Stage 4 clutch.

I have seen stock head cammed LT1s run mid 12s and trap as high as 113-114MPH but its tough to say without knowing the cam

I'm always up for a friendly run man win or lose it's all fun for me really. I'm on street tires but I'll still give it a chance even though I'm sure with your mods you will beat me or at least you should. What shot are you running on your car and where are you located?

Yeah I have too, they are a lot like ls cars where there are so many variables and options that they can run decent or be extremely fast

Well if you are running street tires I'm assuming you probably don't want to run on spray. So we can do motor runs if you like. I'm in North Vernon, could meet you in Cbus or wherever if you prefer.

No idea. Wife wants to go again this year but I'm not sure if we will. Little man will be here then and we are going down to St. Augustine earlier in July for a week to check things out because we are planning to move down there soon.

But if we do go I'll have both the 5.0 and Mach 1.

Well you have distorted a couple details slightly bud

My long tubes are not on yet, im just a lid/cat-back/stall car, and my car is pretty much a fatty haha full weight plus thick sub box, and 2 12's and 2 amps.

Second I did have a bad hit on that run(my fault obviously I was spacing out) so you got a good jump but I was reeling you in. Also when my stall hit I did spin for just a sec.

Third I remember being at your door at 120 not a car behind, I would have been in front by 135ish.

Fourth I'm not sure if you perceived me as trying to be mouthy or something, but I wasn't It's always a friendly run between us man.

Lastly I'll hit you up when I get all my stuff in. Ive got a few things sitting in my mailbox. Cam, Racetronix 255 pump kit, Pacesetter Long Tubes, TSP Duals, and obviously will need a tune.


O.....and you told me about the bottle right after I told you about the cam buddy

Depends on a lot of variables. I've seen most stalled auto LT1's with a decent AI 226/234 cam with bolt-ons, 3.73's, 3600 stall run low 12's @ 111-113mph

Low-mid 12's at 111-113 mph is the norm I'd say - unless if you are talking a poorly setup, poorly driven, beat to **** one lol
