03 Ported Cobra VS 2010 Camaro and SC'D 2005 GTO Well today I was headed to the track with my wife and one of my good friends cruising about 80mph down the interstate and a new Camaro SS flew past me. I down shifted to third and blew past him to see if he would be game and as I was slowing back down he went WOT at my back bumper. I threw it back in third stopped his pull and put atleast 5 cars on him by 120. I hit it around 75-80mph. Guy was real cool. He pulled back up next to me giving me thumbs up telling me he knew he didn't stand a chance but wanted to see my car go.
When we made it to the track it was cold and then wind was blowing. I was sitting around waiting on my buddy to get to the track with my big and little setup but never got to make any passes. A storm blew in and rained out the track day. My best friend that I have known since kindergarten was there in his 2005 GTO. His mods consists of a Maggie 112 supercharger, blower cam, long tube headers with full 3" exaust, 3200 stall and a built trans. He drove to the track on his ET street bias plys. I followed him home to make sure he didn't lose it out on the hwy. When we got almost halfway home it showed no signs of any rain and the roads were bone dry on the interstate. I did not think he would run me on the street but I decided to try goosing him into it. I pulled up next to him at 80 dropped it into third and took off. I slowed back down and moved over infront of him. To my surprise he pulled up along side at me at 75. I tried to get him to honk it off but he couldn't hear me so I gave him the signal to go. As soon as he hit it I was ready and mashed the gas in third gear and immediately jump a car out on him shifted to fourth and put another half a car on him before we let out.

Yeah but I got to run the car I was going to the track to run anyway so it's all good. The third owner of my car is the one who done all the mods. He went 11.55@118mph. I think it can go faster than that and will find out this season.

what kind of power you putting down? wish i could get me an 03/04 Termi, but i might just jump into the new 5.0's. looking to get into something new for a change.

good kills, wipple cobras run. it sucks you got rain out, I would of like to have seen what kind of times you run. How much hp is your friend pushing.

He's right around 550. I'm suppose to be at 501 but I have not personally had it dynoed since I got it. I don't have a whipple yet though. Just a steg IV ported eaton

Ha ha 07 z71. I'm tryin man. I'm lovin the cobra so far. So far I've edged out cars I thought would beat me but I'm use to seeing them walk me since I upgraded from a built head cam intake 2v GT lol. You could say I'm getting my due finally

haha yea man before I got my car I had a cammed,stalled,and sprayed 07 ec z71 silverado. ran 12's but i walked on a regular basis until i got my car. Now I have beat car's i shouldn't have and ran dead car's even with car's that were suppose to be faster. It's definately feels good winning haha.

07 Z71. I know without a doubt he's faster than me at the track but probably not by a lot though. I'm expecting this cobra to run some 11.2-11.3s in the quarter and his car to run 11.0-11.1s

Nice those are some quick time's man, you might not him them your first time out, but with practice you should be able to knock that out.

I'm hoping to get close. I probably won't hit them the first time but I should be close. This will be the first time launching on bias ply tires so it may take a couple launches to get use to them. Everyone tells me when you launch on them it feels like the *** end of the car is going to walk out from behind you.
