Hmm. That's an interesting setup. All that trouble of forging the bottom end/cam swap just to run a stock 208/214. Sounds like the guy you bought it from had forced induction on the to do list but never got around to it.

I know what they are, he jsut phrased it funny and some people that say it the same way mean they have LS6 heads and [a lopey] cam. Just wanted to clear that up so I had an idea of the power he was making.

Dude get that thing tuned. You should pick up at least 20...maybe 40 rwhp. Check my sig, that's a stock ls6. You should have no problem with a 5.0 from a roll. Not knockin op's car but yours should run way better.

Good runs, hope you can make it to the track soon and see what it does with the gears and skinnies, 11's shouldn't be a problem with track prep. The two vids I have your car leaves the line pretty violently and that was with the old gears.

It was about as this race was from a roll. A dig though at the track and that auto car beat me by about .1 seconds.. I was running 3.31 gears at that time though. My car has gone a best of 12.1@116 with the old 3.31 gears. With the 3.73 think I have 11's in it all day now.
You won't be beating this car again anytime soon . If for no other reason than it's still sitting with no plans to get it out for this year. Although I did get it out and changed oil yesterday.

Get a tune and move the limiter up-that car should be shifted at 6400-6500. 5.0 bolt ons are fast cars but you should have no trouble with one tuned.

Nice races

410-420 with just a tune and cold air intake on the 2011s, good for 118mph trap speeds, thats rolling. Good runs OP. Mu brother has a JLT and handheld from Amazon Racing thats hes waiting to put on after Ford fixes the Tranny.

My tranny went at like 3k miles. It has nearly 11k on it now and been great ever since. So hopefully mine is fixed.

Haha, wasn't referring to you guys, but I'm always happy to stir the pot.

Great races, btw!

Is it weird having to shift into 5th gear in races?

Yes, I have never had to do it before. So when I go to shift into 5th I feel like I am granny shifting it.

I have not had to use 5th in the 1/4 yet I go through traps with my old gears at like 6700 RPM and about 115ish.

Not sure if I am going to have to shift 5th at the end of the track or not yet. I have the limiter set to 7500RPM. I am going to ride that out the whole to see if I can make without hitting the limiter.

You should easily be able to finish in 4th with that RPM limit. I'd think you could finish in 4th even with 4.30's and maybe 4.56's(but that would be painful at the pump of nothing else).

What's the stock rev limit? I thought I saw a video of a guy shifting to 5th in a stocker with 3.73 gears. That 7500 rpm limit in your car will help that a bunch.

LOL.....I'm very curious as to why your car had the JE pistons and carillo rods installed as well. Only reason I can see the previous owner doing that on a stock LS6 is to.........lower compression for boost, which could be why your set up dynoed so low. That would blow *** if your at like 8.5:1 and trying to build your car all motor.

Bah! Only reason he made so much is because "mustang" dynos always read higher on a mustang, DUUUUUH.
