My friend and I have been talking crap to each other for a few weeks about racing.
The weather finally co-operated and we were able to get a few runs in. Our camera man was horrible. But at least we got some video out of it.
'11 5.0 Mods:
CAI
Tune
Axle back

LCA's
'98 SS Mods:
LS6 swap heads and cam
Full lenght headers
slp cat-back
Typhoon intake manifold
Slp smooth bellows
slp lid
Full suspension with ebiach lowering springs
JE pistons
carillo rods
comp lifters
Monster Clutch
Run 1: 20 - 120 GT can't hear the honks to well. SS gets the jump. GT reals him in a bit then misses 4th gear. The W goes to the SS.
Run 2: 1- 120 GT and SS leave at the same time. GT by roughly 3 or 4 cars at 120ish. The W goes to the GT
Run 3: Dig run. Not captured on video. GT and SS both spin like hell. GT shuts down at around 80 with 1 1/2 cars on the SS. The W goes to the GT

First. The first race was legit u didn't miss a shift u just let out cause I was putting it on u hard lol. The second race was a fail for the camera man why didnt he keep filming once i reeled u in and put about 2 cars on u.

I believe you reeled him in, and put two cars on him... well past the 1/4 mile. Of course, it's hard to make that argument since, by the time the video ended, you weren't even in the frames anymore. Maybe the camera battery died after so long of showing an empty open road ahead? Maybe you hung a right and went to check out the silos or something?

Chalk this one up... You had your *** handed to you except the missed shift. The 100 shot(if it's true) would help explain why.

The mods are listed correctly. The stang does not have any spray. Quick and I are just stirring the pot a bit.
The races happened exactly as described. Late last year I beat another buddy who post here with similar motor mods minus the ls6 heads, cam, but add a 4k stall and 3:73's.
It was about as this race was from a roll. A dig though at the track and that auto car beat me by about .1 seconds.. I was running 3.31 gears at that time though. My car has gone a best of 12.1@116 with the old 3.31 gears. With the 3.73 think I have 11's in it all day now.
Any way.. Enjoy the video's and keep it safe guys...
Edit: the SS and I are going to the track today providing it doesnt rain.. I'll post those vid's up too.

good vid...the ss may need some tuning. I have first hand experience on how ls6's run(check the sig)...but the ls6 conversions don't seem as strong as a real ls6. I do like the new stangs. Good luck at the track! Maybe you can break the 13's!!

Ju1ce is right, it does make you feel ******* stupid being on the other side of the argument. GM owners...
LS1 must have had 3 bad plugs, wasp nests in 2 collectors, and I bet a little kid stuck a potato in one of the tail pipes.

I purchased the car with 3.31 gears. Upgraded over the winter to 3.73's. I still clipped off a 12.1@116 with the 3.31's if the track was not closed today I was aiming for an 11.8 with the new gears.
Yep, it has a Brenspeed 93 octane street tune in it. They offer a 93 octane race/extreme but I dont have it yet.
