My first run in with a 2011 5.0, finally get to race one and put a whole bunch of bench racing to rest.

Also raced my friend with his freshly upgraded cam on his c5z after working all weekend on his car, he asked me not to give out specs but its a very strong and good sized cam.

Man id be pissed if I owned that c5z and put a cam in it and still just run even/slightly pull on the same car with stock cam. That 5.0 race got ugly but expected

Your cars a freak bro. Tight work driving,... Your buddie doesn't shift nearly as quick as you. Cause dayuuuum...... you were close when the passenger was in your car... dead heat with the weight in the other Z-O. Imagine more horsepower? Almost like you don't need it lol(we all need it).

Nice kill with the 5.0.... not sure how buddy was driving but,...you whooped up on him pretty good too.

nice runs AJ, that's the first c5z i've seen edging you out, you guys have to try and run with no passenger or better yet, a passenger in each car (to take vids) For a minute I thought the 5.0 was going to give you a better fight

To answer some of the comments on here...

My friend with the cammed Z was taking it easy with the driving...

He was shifting @ only 6500rpm which is low for the cams power band.. also granny shifting like someone else pointed out to me.

Finally and most importantly, he needs a REAL tune really bad! Once he gets the car dialed in with the tune and driving is up to par I suspect about 2 more car lenghts on his end.... car should be trapping 124 or so in the 1/4

5.0 probably didn't have a tune to go with the intake and exhaust, therefore it was slower than stock... lol.

What shop was on his windshield & any dyno number from the 5.0? It would be awesome if it was Evolution lol.

Zyborg, just wondering how your sleeper cam'd LS6 would do against a 5.0 with more mods like a cam. The video showed puppy kicking against the 5.0.
