^^^Some guy that has been now been disowned by the Ford crowd.
What shop was on his windshield & any dyno number from the 5.0? It would be awesome if it was Evolution lol.
Zyborg, just wondering how your sleeper cam'd LS6 would do against a 5.0 with more mods like a cam. The video showed puppy kicking against the 5.0.

The race wasnt supposed to be a puppy beat down, there are many people that claim and attest as to how strong 5.0s can be... i just wanted to find out for my self first hand.
My car has been known to run on the strong side...

To answer some of the comments on here...
My friend with the cammed Z was taking it easy with the driving...
He was shifting @ only 6500rpm which is low for the cams power band.. also granny shifting like someone else pointed out to me.
Finally and most importantly, he needs a REAL tune really bad! Once he gets the car dialed in with the tune and driving is up to par I suspect about 2 more car lenghts on his end.... car should be trapping 124 or so in the 1/4

Some of you are crazy about that 5.0 getting puppy kicked. That was actually a pretty close race. Sure Zyborg was 3 cars ahead at what looked like 135 mph. But only 3 cars ahead in a bolt on c5Z06 tells me that the 5.0's are the real deal. What if the c5Z06 had been stock and with an average driver? Im thinking the intake/tune mustang could tie a stock c5Z06.

Thanks for the vid zyborg, I can sleep a little better now, knowing I won't get walked by a bolt-on 5.0. Interested to see what your Z would trap at the track though with a good launch. Those I/E/tuned 5.0's are hitting 116-118 mph, of course with a good launch.

You hit it right in the spot...i was going to say i bet the Cammed C5z needs a tune and i noticed you guys were shifitng close.....so yes with a good tune and ripping gears and revving the car out where the big cam shines he "should walk up top"!! Once again great vid man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree on the second part, it is possible...
Well, right now Im guesstimating trapping around 120 or so based on some of the runs I have had.... Once my stars line up with a new clutch and sticky tires a great lauch on a cold day I think I might scrape 122...

My car's only mods are Intake, LTs and cat back with a tune. Not really sure why you say I have a "sleeper cam" but I guess Ill take that as a compliment.

Just messing, that thing moves out and it looked like you put at least 4-5 cars and pulling on the 5.0.

Nice, and I didn't even mind the music... okay, I kinda did, but who cares about the music! 
From my view, that 5L didn't stand a chance past 3rd gear and I was surprised about the black Z06, till I took note it wasn't tuned yet. I think it took guts just to go hammer on it like that before the tune. Once it's dialed in, you might wanna reconsider your options. Then again, he probably should get some tires for a rematch.
