I ran this in 75* weather in nov In tx. Not in the cold up north. It was a idea. And i know a few 5.0s in socal running these type number. And if a guy goes to tracking out tires sorry. He going to waste most his time in a new 5.0

alot of people like to know what they run how they drive it on the street not just 4days out of the year so not everyone puts dr's on their cars

I have yet to see ANY stock 5.0 run close to that over here in CA. In our air most do low 13's if that.

I can see that since they really don't backdoor that hard....the 5.0's first 3 gears must be brutal.

They are quick gears..Our 5th gear is our 1 to 1 ratio..But i swear 1-4 feels so much stronger..

Not just here in CA, in other states also. Yours is the first I've seen run like that. But if you ran here at our track you would run slower.

I can show you a list of ones running 12.2-12.7 bone stock tires and all from all over the country. auto and manuals. tune drag radials going high 11s. Ones running 11.1-11.6 full bolt ons also.

Supercharger only going mid-high 10s.

bolt ons plus supercharger going high 9s-mid 10s.

Cool story bro....

Go check out the stock internal list, you'll find very similar times from 4th gen LS1s, only difference is that GM did it 10 years ago .

Congrats on your cool car

What did you run on the video that was posted?
Just curious but have you weighed the car as well? I've always heard people say heavy but I want real numbers

Specially with a whole new engine, and tranny design.

Most find reasons to hate on the 5.0 cause it is killing camaros at the drag strips.

As far as whole cant afford thing. I lived my own since i was 16 with a kid. Now i am not that old but old enough to reap the benefits of joining the army and do 7 deployments. College has its benefits and its cons. Wife has one them fancy college degrees..She makes less then me.
Well that's good for you then, but that is far from the case in the majority of situations similar to yours. I think I'll "take my chances" with getting a degree. I like my odds.

I'm not in anyway say this is directed at you, but I find it funny when people try to downplay the importance of a college education these days. Seems to happen a lot with people that sucked at school and think $20,000 now is a ton of money when living at home. Let's see how that works out for ya in 20 years.

Oh, and thank you for serving our great country.

funny a lot ones i see need lot more then just bolt ones to go low or even mid 11s..seems they have cams and stuff from what i seen. also if all needed exhaust and simple bolt ons then if that case as you say guess all that new LS3 power is a waste huh..

5.0s doing with out cams or ported heads. fast intakes, etc etc. just simple tune exhaust cold air and some sticky tires. oh and some suspension

i dont know i own 2 house's and make almost triple 20k a year not counting wife pay.

really my point is a college degree isnt what it used to be. Say 10 yrs ago.

Even when i retire form army in 7 yrs i will still make what most country does just from that. Then get a job contracting make easy 6 figures. Do that for few yrs and stop working period.

Know a lot guys taht do it. Most guys do it 2-3 yrs then come home and do **** for rest time cause they save almost half million in that 3 yrs.

Hell know a 23 year old kid that has did since right out high school. He still does it and makes over 150k a year with no more then a high school education.

sweet video and nice car.

I would consider getting a 5.0 as a daily driver, but everyone and their granny drives a mustang. I swear they are just as common as Honda/Toyotas out here in Cali.

That abundance of them on the street kills my desire to own one. Mustangs are truly a dime a dozen.

Nice car and sweet times nontheless
