Is that the same guy with 96-98 Cobra intake cams? If it is did they ever get that PSRI to run right?

5" runners were too short. Lost power. Dont' know if he is going to go back to the norm of a 7" runner.

Still those are impressive numbers for a "bolt-on" Mach motor. I'm going to be trying out a 9 or 10" PSRI later this summer.

I like how you conveniently left out the F6ZE cams and short-runner intake. "Bolt-on" Mach 1 motor alright.

The car made that power without the short runner but it does use the 96-98 Cobra intake cams. It has stock parts in it but it's not a stock motor. I agree I wouldn't call it a bolt-on car but it isn't aggressive in it's setup either.

I'll give you that on the cams even though they are and OEM piece but the intake doesn't mean anything. You do know the definition of a stock longblock right? To me that is a bolt-on car if just an intake has been modified. Look on your SI list on this site. Many guys swaped to an LS6 intake. Same thing.

So in other words... This car uses all OEM and factory parts, it is also a stock car...

A little far fetched there braveheart. If you want to compare to what was done take a bolt on 02 LS1 and swap in a OEM 99 LS1 cam.

I've always wondered how that setup would run.

Not quite. Better comparison would be to swap an LS6 cam into an LS1.

imo neither compare remember the 96- 98 cams only affect the intake side.

Your point Jack? Coupled with the Mach 1/03-04 Cobra exhaust lobes gains of 15-20rwhp are common.

My point was obvious if you are to slow to understand that then so be it. Either way modularspeeds car is not even in the top 3 for fastest bolt-on machs. Lets not forget that the 10.9 at 123 pass was done without the intake cams

All 4V exhaust cams are the same from 96-04 only the intake cams are different. The intake cams progressively got more tame as the years went by and the heads got better. By taking the C heads from a Mach/Termi motor and putting the early Cobra cams in you're getting the best of both worlds.

Essentially the same yes but with a slight variation in lift. The 03 Mach/Cobra cams had .394" lift versus .390 for 96-98/99/01 Cobra.
