IIRC, they were actually factory regrinds. So they definitely weren't that aggressive.

Praise the Mustang's light weight, because the Camaro sure can't claim that spotlight.
I cant understand why you guys are SO butt hurt over this new 5.0

Just say "WOW that is impressive!!" because everyone here knows it is! Instead you come back with "WELL.....the LS3 with heads, cam, and intake can do that....or the 427cid LS7 can do that!

Actually, I have. In many threads. There's just too many 5.0 threads on here to kiss its *** in every thread. It's a nice motor. I'm just saying I can understand you Ford guys being so happy, you finally have a N/A motor worth a damn, but really the power it puts out is nothing new to the LSX game.

^ I agree ,kinda sick of hearing 5.0 this 5.0 that,I give ford props on the new mustang, but at the same time I have seen and been a part of modded f bodys taking the 5.0,now I'm sure down the road when more people own them, and can afford to mod them every time you see one it will be one sick ride.it does get a lil old when someone makes a kill thread and if it reads 5.0 ,its going to be 25 pages of all the ford boys praising and defending the new mustang

Well from checking out Svt performance forums I see that the 2011 5.0 is a piece of ****. The six speed transmissions suck in them and I think ohio80 can attest to that. There is a problem with ENGINE failures after tunes. There are all types of actual 2011 5.0 who are paranoid to mod there cars because of these problems that have developed with this new engine. The 5.0 is a power house with problems. Any doubters please check out some of the 2011 5.0 forums.

Ya know I was always told never buy the first year of a new model,1st year is when they work out all the bugs,I'm sure ford will get it right, but I have also heard they have a lot of issues, its also the first year though, didn't the camaro have some major issue when it first came out?

I will attest to the tranny. It needs some work. Ford has been taking care of most people i have seen with issues. They did me and i was even modded. So far so good on my second tranny. It will be put to the test very soon. As far as the engine thing. Is been a couple people. Its not a epidemic. I knwo one doing it was more then just tune and he was on the leaner side of it. For every one that has had a issue there is 2000 that are stock, modded from mild bolt ons to 700-800whp SC with no issues.

I will say if had to do over i would bought a auto and dropped a 4-5k stall in it. They are hold over 1000hp already with no issues.

I am still waiting on people to test the new comp cams and see if they are worth the 2500k of parts and labor.

Once stalled they have dropped and average of .4 off 60ft. The autos are better built with the manual and it is showing. Just crazy some guys having issue with a bone stock tranny then other pushing 600whp with no issues.

Funny how your attempt at blindly swinging on LS nuts falls to the ground when you take into account the TIMES being had with 5.0's with bolt-ons. Poor 5th gen Camaros barely (and in most cases NOT) topping their 4th gen predecessors that haven't been around since '02 Ouch! Power doesn't mean **** unless it's behind a platform that can allow it to move it's ***.

I don't remember them having excessive transmission failure, or engine failure after tuning. D:

5.0 Stang is a great car no doubt and very quick with bolt ons but yes it does come with more power stock than LS1 and personally it doen't matter if a camaro/TA needs a cam to keep up or beat a 5.0 does it? I mean, if our cars beat every car on the road racing would get boring - we would only be racing each other. So I say bolt on those 5.0's and lets run em!

Lol first n/a motor worth a damn really 5.4 4v 600+ on stock cubes. The 2v that just went into the 9s on motor and the 4.6 4v that has been 10s with bolt-ons
