RagnZ needs sometuning or something. He should have no problem taking that truck on motor.

Why did he buy a vert then do weight reduction? Seems kind of strange to me. Good runs though.

Because the rag top makes it a grand total of 5 different colors instead of 4.

Just kidding OP, good deaths.

The Lightning is the **** and is a culmination of a lot of money and time and work.

The Camaro is (IMO) a POS and is a culmination of second hand used parts and spotty 1 hour dyno tuning.

Let this be a lesson to the many bench racers out there that a race on paper is different than a race in real life with real life variables. Just because you plug a bunch of random parts into a combo doesnt mean its going to deliver performance.

Keep in mind that the Lightning can have all the power in the world, but it's still going to have the aero of a truck. It suffers a lot more up top than a car does, cutting down it's trap speed. The Camaro seems to be a hunk of **** though.

Are you serious? They ran to 140 a bunch of times. Trucks start feeling drag at like 80mph, and by 100-110 or so they are really fighting it. By 130, that is a brick wall in the wind. It looks like a hunk of ****, the tune sounds like crap and the numbers on the spray aren't very impressive (barely 100 on a 125 shot). Usually that comes back to the tune.

edit: just realized who I was responding to, now it makes sense.

This.

Lets not forget the Vert is a svelte 3,5xx with occupants. The flying dump truck was 4,8xx + the bad aero. It moves though for sure. Heres the recently posted video vs heads, cam, intake, exhaust, gears LS3 M6 Camaro spraying a low bottle pressure 75 shot from a 40 roll:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qql8SnaWafQ

That drive train would fly in a Cobra. Either way the truck is fast up top. He needs to focus on Digs and 20s though, a point which I keep trying to beat into him. He didnt think he would need to bolt his slicks on to handle the Vert from a dig and he found out the hard way. That POS Camaro can stand on the gas from a dig on motor and barely squeak its 245 DRs. When **** chirps out on you as you paint the street in rubber it can be a killer. Next time I'm sure he will bolt on his ET Street slicks and make sure he hooks it. RagnZ didn't think the L had anything for him though. Whupps.

Lightning has made 548whp/608wtq through the old slipping trans/converter. Lightning has run a best of 11.60@117

someone is definitely sandbagging. truck prob went 117 blowing through the verter and trans. it is obviously more than 5xxwhp...or the camaro is way less than 48x whp.

No sand bagging here sir. Truck made those numbers last summer on the broken trans, should be making more then that.

My truck is actually top 10 maybe top 5 in the country for my setup on pump gas. Just about all the guys running sub 11.50s are on 100 octane or better with higher boost.

The Z28 isn't sandbacking either, its just a pile.
