1994 Z28 vs 2010 Hyundai Genesis
The Z28 is my brother's car and he lined up against the same Genesis last year, when he was having issues with it breaking up. I don't remember exactly how the race went down, but I know the LT1 lost.
We just recently replaced the plugs, wires, and PCV valve on the LT1, and it seems to be running better now (after a few test runs against my G8). He was dying to get out there and try to avenge his loss.
Go easy on me, this is the first video I've ever made and I had no idea the watermark would be there until after the video was made.
Here's how it went down:

Besides the car isn't modded and its questionable if he'll ever mod it.

Revenge had..
Buddy bought a 3.8 Genesis when we got back last deployment and it ran constant 13.6-13.8 at the track bone stock. He is doing bolt ons on it..He also found a SC that will take it to 470hp before bolt ons.
Another guy had one there that was the turbo one with 16lbs boost and some bolt ons running 12.8's and 13.0's. Guy said he looking at switching turbo running least 28psi..Plus bolt ons..
Both should get pretty quick..The car though isn't the lightest either like you would think.

The 3.8 is **** and the ZF 6spd auto (that comes in the BMW 335's and is not offered on the 4 cyl Genesis) can take a serious beating. All around it's a better starting point. And the new ones with direct injection will be even stronger. They're getting a 20hp bump with a ~10% increase in fuel efficiency as well.
The car ran 13.9 @ 101 bone stock in a DA of 3200 ft. We wanted to take it back and try for the current record but we never got a chance to head up in good DA. The 3.8's weigh around 3400.

I've been very impressed with the Genesis. Everything from the performance to the appearance, and the interior is very nice. It would have been nice if they offered the sedan's V8 in the coupe, but as long as they keep the aftermarket mods coming, it shouldn't be a problem.

Also, the car wasn't sturdy enough for the power and they didn't want to use new steel ($$$) nor more normal steel to keep the already heavy weight down.

Not sure why the LS1 driveshaft is funny though...

drivetrain issues killed it. they wanted to make the ZF 6spd in korea but couldn't get the agreement - now after seeing the trouble with the 5.0 mustangs chinese made 6spd's I can see why.
