I got another crack at a new 5.0. This time the guy actually gave me a race.
I have 4.10s and no cats with Pep Boys Cherry Bombs

Story on my car.
My car is an ex-turbo car with four bad cylinders. My motor will clank on the top-end from time to time. I have to shut it down and wait, then the noise goes away. It burns oil like a James Bond smoke screen when I get on it. Not the mighty LS1 it once was.

Please keep this in mind while watching the video.

Good run though! He was edging you out, but you weren't too far behind. Nothing some LT's and a tune wouldn't fix. I'd like to see that car at full potential rather than running on a beat up previously boosted motor

LOL - Sorry, not my choice. I had to take what I could get. I'd rather go lower. With the 4.10s, the jump from fourth to fifth takes the wind out of my sails. With the 3.42s, I could have kept it in fourth with a better result.

I was going to mention that also about your 4.10 gears and running from that speed... Should have coaxed him into a slower roll..it would have been real interesting!
4.10s are really not for that kind of race..

What is a legit street race? We were in the triple digits. It does not matter to me that there are naysayers. I'm very happy with my car after nine years of service and three turbo systems, it is still fast enough to give a good race to the newer performance cars.
