I am not an Obama nutswinger but he is not the cause of this. Each Administration has done their part to increase the deficit! Just look at Bush..that dude put us in two wars at the same time. This depession we just had in 2008 & 09 was only a sampler. Constant overspending on things that we cannot afford. Most of us folishly spend our money just as the government does. If you have it and you can afford it, that is one thing however, the majority of people over spending are the ones that cannot afford it.
Look at the Housing market and the greed that followed that scam. They sold $600K homes to people making $500 a week. The whole stock market and housing was inflated based on bad loans. How long was that gonna last. What a fail that was!

Psssst....Obama spent more in less than 100 days than Bush did in 8 years. And Bush started 2 wars.

They've both fucked up, but the problems were inherited problems. And there were WMD's in Iraq, a very small amount were found in the beginning, and Saddam's Generals admitted to the larger amount of them that were transported into Syria before we invaded. And beyond that, Saddam needed to be dealt with. The world just needed someone with the will to do it.

 

And we did it...Honestly, the US can afford this? Do you actually think the US is that rich? Everything the government does is based on borrowing..hense the deficit at 14 Trillion!!! Come on man..Wake up!! The majority of us are not getting richer, the middle class is moving more towards low income. Mix this in with the fact that we don't even want to manufacturer anything in this contry anymore and we import twice as much as we export. Where do you think the jobs will be comming from int he future?

This actually started in the 70s and 80s with the beginnings of banking deregulation. As deregulation continues the bubbles get bigger, the debt grows and the depressions will grow increasingly worse.

Allowing banks to write 400K "variable rate" mortgages based on capital they only have a tiny fraction of, to people without a hope of paying it back...then reselling the bad mortgages as AAA rated investment securities and insuring those securities because the defaults were inevitable...and they get bonuses instead of jail time...
