Default I finally ran a E92 BMW M3!

Earlier today around 6pm I decided to go for a quick cruise since this was supposed to be our last day on earth (LOL). I'm in the slow lane and I see in my side view mirror a M3. I didn't think much of it since most of the owners are older guys that never race. Well he passed me and I decided to try my luck at one.

As I was pulling up I see him glance at me through his side view mirror. I pull up and he kinda laughs as if to say "I'm game". I down shift and we only hit it for a few seconds because of some cars in front of us. We go around the cars and line em up 1 more time (a real run). I down shift to 2nd and he's next to me blipping the throttle (I'm assuming he was a manual trans). Right after that we both hit it and I'm slightly pulling on him. I hit 3rd and I was probably about 1 car length ahead. Hit 4th and by the top of 4th I believe I was ahead by 2 cars. We shut it down and he was trying to say something, but all I heard was the word "fast".

I thought I was going to lose, but does this outcome sound right?

Stock they're mid 12s, I believe.
Have you ever run your car down a track?

They are dead even with 5.0's in a straight line. So you will see most doing low 13's to high 12's with a great driver doing mid 12's. The outcome seems just about right.

The 5.0 was actually faster then it when compared by C&D and MotorTrend. But whatever. It is a high 12 second car pretty easy. Mid 12's with a good driver. The mustang has the advantage cause of the TQ but M3 with the weight. Fastest bone stock M3 I could find was 12.4 so still pretty much right with that of the fastest times of a 5.0. 12.2M6/12.3A6 making it a drivers race.

M3s are great cars but never met to be drag cars. They shine on road courses. But from a roll they are still fast. Only down fall is it is so F'ing expensive to mod them. Guy around us has a 680whp M3. Built engine and turbo cost him almost 35k. He had it done buy Horsepower Freaks. It is fast really fast on a roll like a Supra. But it is slow at the drag strip. Makes ton HP but no TQ.

The stang ended up being a hair faster by tenth. Also either way both these cars have went faster then times in video. Both bone stock. Fastest to date found on the 5.0 is 12.2 for manual/12.3 for auto. From what found is 12.4 for the M3.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...son/index.html
. Both hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, but the Mustang is faster to the quarter mile by a tenth of a second and 0.7 mph-12.7 seconds at 111.6 mph. It also stops two feet shorter from 60 mph-a tie as far as we're concerned-and the GT really shatters the M myth on the skidpad. America's original ponycar manages to outgrip one of Germany's most iconic sports cars to the tune 0.2 second through our figure eight and by 0.01 g in lateral acceleration.

Who cares about absolute fastest?

Also, the M3 weighs over 3700lbs with no options...
So it doesn't have a weight advantage on the mustang,.

I am. I said its a drivers race. A tenth can be lost with a late shift or or early shift. The cars are pretty equal. Even on the road course.

The mustang they placed it against was fully loaded. And not sure what you mean no options. The M3 are loaded when you buy one. But the M3 they used was loaded even with the upgraded rims and "track option". Just like the stang.

So after I bring up that you can not not talk about the 5.0 in every ******* thread you decide to congradulate the op on a nice kill and SS.

I think everyone here sees who the fucktard is you piece of ****. The guy who lives on LS1tech to let the world know how fast the new 5.0 is.

You may not have brought it up but you were right there to let everyone know that the new 5.0 is soo boss.
