Default puppy kicked an M45 in my 5.0 rental car.

I had a guy wanting to play a bit in his new M45 yesterday while I'm in Vegas. I have a 5.0 rental car this week so as he tried a flyby I had it in 2 and gunned it. Stopped the pull with him a length out and I put a couple lengths on him before he got off of it. Damn rental cars. I get more action in them then I do in the T/A and bimmer combined.

I also ran into a charger r/t with a at least a catback exhaust eying me up and blipping the throttle as he rolled through the intersection. I unfortunately was in a turn lane and couldn't get out and dance.

Saw a nice XLV-V on my way into work. He held back for a little bit then gunned it. I had it in gear and ready to hit as he pulled to my door. As soon as I laid on it he got off it and so did I once I noticed. He stayed back about 3 lengths and didn't want to get next to me. Sheesh, you'd think if you were going to try and ricer fly by me you would at least be willing to try and run as well. i know those things are rated at 400+hp.

All in all, the 5.0's are really nice. Just needs a proper 6 speed, some brembo's and 3.73's to make it worth buying. Automatic in these cars suck unless you manually shift them yourself. To many speeds for it to downshift before it's in the powerband when doing a roll on.

Wouldn't mind running some bolt on fbodies in the Las Vagas area to see how a stock auto 5.0 stacks up.

Pic of car. I love Avis.

BTW, guarantee that Ohioborn is going to post in my thread. It's just nature at this point whenever you mention 5.0

That sounds like a blast. I wan't a 5.0 rental car lol! It really is funny though how when your not in your own car or are least expecting it, you get the most races/people wanting to play. **** happens to me all the time too.

Yeah, I thought it was funny that I get so much attention in rental. I'd like some real runs instead thwarting fly bys. Oh well, cars goin back with less rubber for sure.

You called...lol

I actually wish i would have got a auto. They seem to be holding together better then the manuals.(no tranny issues) From few guys with the auto's they act a 100% better with a tranny tune.

If they'd allow for manual shifting either on the shifter or paddles I'd think that would be lots of fun. I'm surprised that they didn't offer that option considering it's a 6 speed automatic.
