Bolt on c5z's are easy 120 mph cars in perfect conditions or at least I mean they'll easily run with cars that trap that from a roll. Most z's aren't set up for drag or are worried about wheel hop I bet; hence the underperforming times some witness them run.
C5z's are made to carve corners all else is just gravy.

C5Z's are great all around cars, Perfect off the line, has a great amount of top speed, looks great, and good at turns, and most of all, Not something you see everyday.

I don't know 0-60 times.. with stock run flats and irs the 60' times aren't usually something to brag about for an average driver.
For a stock car, yes it Is quite Impressive. It is also very heavy with not a lot of power.. gets ran down hard by the Z after 60mph or so.

Very true, But 2.9 seconds is just incredible, maybe if it was alot better after 60 I would have bought one when they came out. But everyone that I know that bought one complained about it in no time, and I almost dumped 80k on one, thank god I didn't, I would love to put money on my z06 ( H/C setup, forged internals), I have the money, but have no time to take it to the track.

You would enjoy mods on the street with a z just as much Imo.

Also when has 530hp not been a lot of power, even for a 3800lb car?
And Nissan currently covers you for a trans replacement. The tranmission warranty coverage issue was solved early last year as well as Nissan acutally strenghtening the trans.
If they didn't cover launch control the people owning 2012 GT-Rs would all void their warranty as the new launch control is ALWAYS on. Get with the times dude.

gt 500 IS SWEET car but too heavy and top mounts are not good for anything i dont think bad traction bad mpg bad everthing. o3 cobra and new 5.0 are ten times better then gt 500 and z06 is killer on highway

I used to think the 03 Cobra was better than the GT500 back in the day until ford came out with the 2011 GT500s. A newer GT500 with a pulley and full bolt ons will give a stock C6 Z06 a serious run for its money.

A stock C5Z isn't going to run down a 2012 GT-R. They trap 124 and do 11.1s all day. Hell, a stock c5z isn't gonna run down an 09-11 GT-R. I ran a stock one and a modded one last year. C6Z is a different story.

I don't know anything about the new gtr because I had no Interest, didn't see any new threads either.
Since there are 505hp 3000# cars that have better aero aggressive gearing and rwd over awd.
They just don't impress me as much as some. They are a strong car however. If they were wrd and weigheda little less, I would be all over it.

As mention tune, pulley, bolt ons will give a ZO6 a ran for the money on the interstate and rape it at the strip. And you will have spent less. Its all just want you want. Ya add mods on the ZO6 and it will bring it back even.
If i was going to build a car for the high speeding it would be a ZO6 with FI. Its aero, weight are killer and hard to beat.
The GT-R is just nasty. Running low 11s bone stock and hang neck and neck with ZO6s. Tune and simple mods and it truly becomes Godzilla.

I was talking c6z, I should have clarified that.

Actually the 2012 GT-R's have better aero and more agressive gearing. A stock C6 Z06 has a drag coefficient of .29 compared to the GT-R's .27 drag coefficient. Look at the gear ratios as well. The gearing for the GT-R keeps it constantly in powerband compared to the Z06 which has extremely long gears and two over drives, which the Z06 depends more on its displacement than its gearing. check this out, both cars are stock in this vidd:

GT500 are good cars, but only if modified, the C6z's mods cost more then the ******* car! GTR's are not Expensive to modify, but if something goes bad, like said above, you will have to give a leg away to fix it, and why would nissan install launch control on the car if they will not cover it once something breaks or goes bad while using it? Thats just straight up retarded if you ask me! If I were to buy a car and build it and expect 600rwhp, it would be a f-body all day.
