Cool Memorial Day Racing

Had some fun yesterday after a somewhat big car show. Hope you enjoy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYOkE4ZBXnY

Also had another race which was shaping up to be a good one, but there were some issues. Both were members here, silverz28camaro vs camokid09

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GPsG50dEQ8

silverz28camaro blew an input shaft on that run. I think it's amazing the stocker held up to the constant torture he puts on it. On the bottle, it was probably seeing 650hp from the crank.

Camokid09 blew off the brake booster line while brake boosting, hence why he didn't go anywhere.

Rematch hopefully coming within the next few weeks.

that 1st race against the Ion is why i am building another f-body. sure my speed3 is quick, but its just cant touch good old GM push-rod muscle. and from a dig it gets even worse, my speed hops and bounces like there's no tomorrow.

We know the kid with the Ion, and silverz28camaro told him the car was, and I quote, "just 3.42 gears, drag radials with the cords showing, headers with chopped off exhaust and an SLP air lid to suck in tons of air." Ion kid was like, ok what's really done to it? It was catching the bike!"

I'll see if he has a pic of it but basically it just spaces out the muffler from the pipe to create an exhaust leak to make some noise for free.

I was going to say why the hell is Brad racing a Ion lol. That long straight at the end of the video looks like concrete which should would do well with some juice . Going to put more break in mile on my clutch tommorrow and the rest of the week. Maybe ready for some action this weekend.

Nice runs!

The LS2 vs. the Ion was a pointless race though!

The rest of the runs looked good, and fun for sure.

Thanks for sharing!

He said it is good to go now. I believe he said he's going to KCIR this weekend, so we'll get to see how they would have stacked up. That Camaro has gone 10.5x @ 127 on motor. I'm sure he'll be in future videos.

They say 500 miles my 9 inch I believe I put 2 heat cycles in it and then beat on it. Which was 37 miles haha. But will take it easier on the clutch for a while, really dont know if I can last 500 miles it would really be a accomplishment for me.

It's actually a really easy and clean mod, doesn't look fucked up or anything, you'd never know it was there unless you knew what to look for. Sounds pretty good too.
