I think this Ohio guy has his first mustang and thinks it's god. Reads to many magazines and looks at all the vids on YouTube of stangs hitting 11's and ignores the ones hitting 13's. Bone stock the 5.0 will NOT hit 10's 11's and sure damn won't hit 12.2.

Not a hater, yes I'm a fan boy. I know what I like. And I don't like stangs. They are nice cars but cost to much for what it offers.... Getting it's *** kicked on the street by a car made in 2000? Yes i have ran my car at the track. Ran it to a 12.1 with only tires. And then 11.8 with cold air/tune.x pipe. You are the moron you think it can run 12.5.

Think for a sec stupid. 412hp 3600lbs.3.73 gears.camaro 426hp 3900lbs 3.45 gears..Camaro has gone best of 12.5....HMMM..But let me guess the new camaro isn't capable of that either.

Got rid the pontiac cause two people hit it. Was worthless after that. Oh and cause the mustang was faster with just cold air/tune/xpipe. It weighed to much.

What other NA stang can do what the 2011 can? Bone stock? None! I would take down the stangs with my 1990 trans am from 60's to around 04. And it's a 1990 TPI with shift kit and K&N lol. Now I have a little more but not much.... And what do you consider stock? Tune, gears.. IS NOT STOCK anymore. You already modified from how it came from factory. Oh and then the stang finally started putting 300HP in the GT in 05 but it wasn't a problem for the LT1. And ls1 pimped slapped a bitch (stang) till finally ls1 has something to compete with. The good ol 5.slow and still looses. Haha

Ohio seems like a cool guy but he throws all this bs into the 5.0 threads that is getting old. He needs to understand that not everyone has his setup and that not everyone drives the same. Those mustangs have a lot of potential but they need a good driver because of the gearing. That is why a lot of the almighty 5.0's are getting dusted on the streets by ls1's. Of course in a perfect world the 5.0 would win all the time, but not all of us live in that imaginary world of yours Ohio.

I will agree it takes a great driver to hit say the 12.2 as only one guy has. That it will take a good driver to hit the mid 12s a lot have. The normal guys are running 12.7-13.2 stock. Same goes for the ZO6 for example running low 11s high 10 stock. Not every one does it. But we all know it is possible given great driver and right track.

As far as my set up guys are going 11.1-11.5 depending on driver and where they are at. IE Cecil or summer heat of say Cali or TX.

As far as the street. Anything can happen on the street I guess. Also I think one thing that hurts 5.0s on the street is the stupid skinny 235 tires stock. Along with every one thinking they are the fastest thing ever made.

What mustangs do what the 5.0 can..hmm 03-04 termi, Gt500's, GT350's, Boss.

As far as stock I mentioned what my car ran and what was done to it. Also mentioned that the fastest stock one ran 12.2. It was bone stock doen to the tire pressure. But I guess you are to dense to read and look at the time slip and thread for it.

As far as 03-09 mustang. Who cares what it had. What did they have to compete with. GM stopped making the camaro. They could have made the mustang with 200hp and it would have sold cause GM wasn't making **** to compete.

Ohio I think it is very misleading to state a new stang can run with a C5Z06 stock to stock with good driving.


I have friends with 5.0 bolt ons as I have mentioned before at Cecil and Atco and before Boss intake mid to high 11s and 114-117MPH traps were norm for them with no gutting. They are no joke. But of course they should be-its a called new tech. I have seen new stangs stock run as fast as 12.7s in the fall.
I think a lot of guys get but hurt because they can't compete with these cars. You can with a 4th gen LS1 you just have to be smart and light.

Big thing in Bold. The Boss intake helps a lot. Lets carry power and rpms to 7700. Before my stock intake fell off around 7000.

Some seen gains over 7000rpms with the Boss intake as high as 40whp.

As far as running with C5ZO6 i don't think everyone will. But with a great driver in the 5.0 he can hang with him in the 1/4 mile. After that the vette will walk away.

Those are the most notable. Do you have any clue how close of a race it is with a mach 1 and an ls1? 03 cobra will walk it ever time, takes full bolt ons to pull one.

stock for stock the ls1 isn't in the ring with the 5.0. the 5.0 and an ls2 vettes are a better comparison.

You do understand that a simple bolt on mach 1 or 01 cobra would walk you right? 03 cobra would run away from you. You would be lucky to get a gt500 owner to give you the time of day.
You drive a stock ls1.... you are in the 13s still. what is ls1techs standing rule? You can't talk **** until you are out the 13s.

With stock apps the Iphone has a slight advantage.. once you unlock the market and download mods however... my Android incredible absolutely destroys it, not even a contest!!! Honestly this ford vs gm stuff is getting pretty annoying. Ohio every time someone says anything at all about a Mustang you jump all over it ready to defend your choice of cars to the end, cool we all got it the first 5 times you did it give it a rest. This is a kill section, ffs just either say nice kill or move the hell out with a sense of purpose. Another thing is for the love of god proof read what you write.
