Default Finally gotten to run a new 5.0

Fianlly got a run in with a new 5.0 tonight on my way to work. It was running together with a couple of ms3's. I noticed there were no tailpipes at the rear. Its was black in color. Pulled up to him. I wasnt mmob. I threw him a few revs. Heard him downshift. I three
Honked it at 60 we both hit it at the same time. His car was aloud as mine. He held beside me for a sec. Then I started pulling. topped 3rd gear and let off at about 90. Had about 1-1.5 cars on him. Then he wanted a 2nd. Gear pull. So we went from about 40mph. same results about 1 to 2 cars by 70-80 mph. His car ran pretty damn good. I was impressed. Not sure what mods he had if any. Far as I know he could just had the catback taken off.

Nice kill, I would have thought that you would have pulled a bit more though if he was stock? Maybe I'm wrong, but GK nonehtless.

Yeah, good win but that's kinda scary if you have the mods in your sig and you pulled 1-2 cars on a stockish 5.0

Not really. He pulled 1-2 cars from 60-90.
That's a pretty short time span for a car with his mods.

Nice kill OP.

Our runs only lasted 5-10 sec. I wish I could have found out what mods if any he had.

60-90 and 40-80 should only take a few seconds. If you guys raced 5-10 seconds i would expect well over 100 especially with your mods in sig.

Let me rephrase this... we did not get over 100. It felt like 5-10 secs. It seemed like slowmotion when I raced him. Since I didn't have a timer on me Im just guestimating.

With you being at 461rwhp, I bet the 5.0 was I/E/T easily.

Like it was said before, He definitely wasnt stock, or you would have destroyed him if he was. He probably had the same mods as that ohioborn guy that's always around here

I make 450whp, I also weigh under 3400lbs and should be closer to 3300lbs with some new upgrades. . So I don't think he has same mods as me..lol

Good kill OP. I would say he least had a a tune, cold air, and some type of exhaust. Off road x pipe with no cat back for all that sound.

Probably just a catback car. Sound about right for a catback only 5.0 vs a complete heads/cam/full exhaust/intake/tune built 6.0.
