Whats up yall? Im stuck in VA for a few weeks processing. Forgot about the days when I was a private and had no car, this sucks. I should go to a dealership and pretend to be interested in something so they let me borrow it for a few days. Wife gave me the go ahead to get a c6 when I get back as long as she gets a tahoe. Just gotta wait a year.
Ya we will see I change my mind between the V, ZR, or just keeping my car and modding I'm in no rush. All of this would come down to if someone is willing to pay what I want for my car because I have a good bit of money in it so I'm not giving it away

Yea we got married. Shes a good woman and likes racing, doesnt get pissed when I want to hang out with my buddies

Car ran out of gear at 127-128mph. Needs another 100rpm or a 27 inch slick that will grow a bit to get me there.
And why DA correction? No car on any Vbox leader boards DA corrects. Just like people who set records in negative DA in real life and not on a calculator dont DA correct. Plus i have no idea what the DA was today

Magazines DA correct so to compare times with them you would want to. Running out of gear????? How?? I'm ignorant and **** but doesn't the boss have a six speed?

lol ive been using the vbox around 8 years now. So yea i know. I started every pull at 50mph in third gear. My 6.5 is void as it just falls into too much decline. However i had a 6.73 that was slightly up hill.
60-120 in 6.73
60-129 in 8.26 on that same run
Im not going to shift fifth gear for 1 mph.

Beans light bolt on 05 GSXR 750 did it in 5.6...
Friends RX7 did it in 5.6 as well and that was 150whp ago...
Yea sucks to be 1-upped...
Ideally I believe the car has a 6.3-6.4 in it to 120mph. The problem is my gearing is absolute **** for a 60-130 run out. Its setup for low/drag racing. While it does get out of its own way from a high roll. Gearing is not optimal. For example... the best Ive seen out of an approved 13 gt500 was around 7.9-8.0 60-130mph. That car has a huge gearing advantage over me. For example if we both start at 50mph to vbox the cars.. he would start in second gear (in the meat of his power band) where as Im starting in third (bleh). VS in a race... i would grab second at 50mph and set the pace down low. I have a 2-3 shift right around 72mph. But due to **** roads where i was vboxing... i was spinning in second and on the 2-3 shift which was slowing my times down. So i had to opt with starting in third gear. A 13 gt500 starts in its meat and only has to shift once to 130mph. I can duplicate that starting in third and shift fourth...but it puts me out of my powerband.
Either way... i have no complaints about my NA stock longblock 302 running the vbox times it is. Cant wait to hit the track saturday. According to my acceleration on the highway...a perfect pass would lead me to 126-127mph. But thats a perfect pass.... thats not happening. Im still having a goal of 125mph.

Ah I see what you mean by out of gear now. Could try shifting early or upping rev limiter?
