The new Z can be had with an auto. Mr. Law stated that with a tune,pulley car would be nasty and I would say adding tires/stall(would void warranty) we might see some butt hurt GT500/Zr1 guys at the strip. Despite the little blower I think this car will be pretty nuts.

only changes were the temp, weight, and I ran rpm all the way up to 6500 in 3rd instead of shifting at 6k.

thanks man. the factory boost gage is way off. I assume because of how my tuner adjusted the Maf transfer function. Boost is at 18psi on my Cobalt gauge.

I understand what you mean. However, I can easily and genuinely compliment a GM vehicle without a backhanded shot at it. I can appreciate one without having to bring up Ford. When guys on the GM side of the fence can't do the same, that's when I'll come off as a Ford homer.

If they actually get pissed off because of it, that's not my problem. I don't like many GM vehicles, be it because of their styling or any other number of reasons, but I have respect for a boatload of them, I realize that there are as many people who feel the same way about Ford and I'm totally cool with it.

I don't have a Ford. My last car wasn't even a Ford, though it's likely my next will be (and it's not a Mustang).
All of this. I actually dislike Ford as a brand based on my previous experience with them. If anything, I'm a "Honda guy." I'm actually seriously having a problem even considering buying a Focus over a Civic. But since I drove both cars and I can see that I would enjoy the Focus more than the Civic without letting bias skew my judgement, I'm going with the Focus. Which I said I would NEVER buy btw, as that's what hit me when I had my motorcycle wreck.

Best move gm made is auto option...they should be quick to the 9s and 8s when people get to modding. But priced at 100k don't think many will to fast.

I'll bet we find out the reason the blower is a 1.7L on the new C7Z is due to the fact it has DOD. I may be wrong, but it can run 8cyl no boost, 8cyl w/ boost, 4cyl no boost and 4cyl w/ boost. Sounds like a tuning nightmare!

Its funny the Coyote crowd is all about "they should have kept it N/A Blah blah blah" it sounds like the GM homers when the Cobra came out and the whole "It's not **** without the blower" Shoe's on the other foot and the Coyote Faithful are screaming

That new Z06 is going to be STUPID fast in auto form at the track with a tune and a pulley 700hp should be obtainable

I agree. I wonder it they'll have to cam swap, lifter swap, and fully DOD delete it before any other mods can happen? It may be like a 5.3 DOD truck with an added supercharger and more tuning issues.
