Vettes have always had a considerable amount more area under the cowl than f-bodies, not even comparable. Without knowing how tall a stock LT1 manifold is, its hard to say, but I wouldn't be suprised if a LT1 intake wouldnt fit under a f-body hood without trimming the cowl. There's just no room.
