I'm jealous of your racing season lawhead.

Hammer had corrected times in his sig at one point. I don't have a problem with my trans and I'm running quicker than Mac

Get a trasnmission cooler. 400rwhp isn't "too much" for a 4L60-E. Not saying that they can't break with that much power (obviously), hell some break with too much abuse at stock power levels. But it's easily preventable at your power level.

yup the stock one and the tuner down in Tampa said it would be fine then it broke so i paid to get it fixed ran just fine for a few years then put a cam in it and it broke again. Paid again to get it fixed and a day after I picked it up it had to right back this time i didn't have to pay because it was under warranty thankfully. it still runs good just gotta fix that damn power steering issue!

Also get some suspension; I was running high 11's in my stalled cammed auto WS6 @380 RWHP. No reason a cammed car should be in the 12's with proper suspension setup and a driver. And my Trans lasted to 135K miles at that power level with frequest track trips

I agree thing is im not sure if I get a bigger one would it cause the radiator to not cool as well. Considering it will cover the front of the radiator more than it would now. Although I do plan on getting a better radiator anyways once I sell the motor trans and rear end to get my 80E, iron block (open to ideas honestly) and a stronger rear end. 400rwhp isn't much at all but its still fun to drive.

I know of a couple of local bolt on lt1s running 12s. Both stalled and one has weight taken out. I'd like to be the next bolt on lt1 in the 12s in our local group.

Setup is more important then power as the lt1s might be making 300whp

Your Transmission issues are nothing but your own fault with that being said......you're creating a lot of heat with that stall and will burn up the tranny....as you've found out 3 times...

Yea i found that out the hard way. Thats why I asked the tuner in Tampa because a friend of mine told me before I started modding that my trans was horrible. but I thought headers and a lid would be ok. I figured it would break again after the cam install so I wasn't to mad about that. I put the car on the back burner as far as mods go because of debt that I have. once im debt free ill be modding it more and fixing the handful of issues that I have on my truck.

A trans cooler is a must on a 4l60e. Should be one of the 1st things you do if youre making power or have a stall. They are cheap too.
