My Hoosier radials are wearing out pretty fast. Ill try and get some pics later. They show quite a bit of wear and have less than 300 miles on them. And 3 burn outs.

im not to worried about how long they last, i just want the most traction i can get. i mean as long as they don't last 1000 miles and it something decent.
now with that in mind would you still get the mt's?

I know ET streets last longer than Hoosiers and I usually only get 1500-2k miles out of a set. The Hoosier work better but the ET streets still work very well. It all comes down to how often you want to buy tires.

was that a lot of burnouts/track visits?
i wont be going to the track but maybe once, ill be thrown out for no cage.
is it a huge difference to justify the tradeoff?

my first set of mt's i got over 10k miles on them. i only went to the track 3 times and i do not do many burnouts.
this time around i do not plan on driving the car like i used to and piling miles on it.

Thank you! I hope to have her running in the next couple weeks. I've only been the passenger in an F-Body (mind you, a 145+ MPH Trapping turbo T/A), so I cannot wait to drive one for myself.

A friend of mine would go a whole season of racing on the track and street with one set of Mickey's. Not sure how many miles, but he would replace the tires in the winter and run them the whole spring and summer.

While we're on the subject of Cobras done right, not sure if I've posted this car before or not but former fastest stock long block record holder to 427 SBC. My favorite terminator by far.

Has that car put down any times yet? I remember seeing a thread about it on SVTP but haven't seen it put down any times that I remember.

It went 5.90s on 8-10 lbs. hasn't been back to the track. It made 11-1200 on 12 lbs. It'll roll the **** out if he ever gets around to turning it up.

1200 on only 12#s is pretty nuts. SBC is better for a race car then an LS IMO.

Hard to keep up with decades of aftermarket advancements...some of the new race heads for SBCs are downright nasty.
