Odarabla's infinite BS thread for the foreskinned (AKA Smack Down)
Staging Lane
The good: car is tuned for part throttle and idle. Drove it around the block yesterday and it was truly awesome. I've never driven this car before and had it be smooth and under control. Throttle response is stupid snappy and RPMs don't hang when clutch is pushed in, in between shifts, etc. I can tell it wants some RPM but I gotta have self control until it's fully tuned.
The bad: His EEC Analyzer & Binary Editor (Moates QH) he was using to tune my car glitched and showed my ACT and ECT as the same exact value and they followed each other (car is wired right, voltages were spot on). Once that's figured out it's WOT tune time. I'll post a video when that's done.

Puck, here's your C5Z. Wish I had Corvette money saved up already. I would have bought this bitch this weekend.

Do any of you guys know if there is a handheld or some kind of device I can get to hold a tune? So I can have an aggressive "track tune" and a daily drive tune ?

Looking for something ~15k for a C5, up to 20k for a C5Z...not spending 30k on a 13 year old car no matter how badass it is lol. I could get a nice used C6 for that!
If this was a manual I'd be looking at it TOMORROW. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...70266301&Log=0. 15k for an 02 with 90k miles and looks totally unmolested.
If its a manual its pretty much exactly what I'm looking for lol .
Yes, I double posted instead of editing. Its SRK who gives a ****.
I want that car bad. I didn't even know it existed until it popped up on CF but it's a KY car. For some reason 3 of the top 5-6 fastest 6 speed vettes in the world are from KY. Must be the thing to do here.

I've seen a lot of relatively clean C5s with <120k miles anywhere from $10-$14k depending on how hard you look. Kind of the reason I have a hard time ever fathoming spending >$10k for a 98-02 WS6
Something in the water.

Follow the modded vettes on there and if they stick around, they become great buys! Deals can be had there.
I've seen a few cyber gray painted ones nowadays that are really tempting to pull the trigger on for the price.

14k for a clean *** C5 with ~100k on it is a hell of a deal when people are asking that for some WS6's.
I'm pretty picky, but willing to spend a bit more for what I want. Black, 6sp, under 120k miles ~15k. Same thing but as a Z06 I'd spend up to $20k. Making double payments on my ZX14, and probably just gonna pull some money out of my investment account so I should have it paid off in a couple months then I'll start shopping around more aggressively. I could just go out and finance one from a dealer, but I'm trying to get a house in the next year or so so I need to work on getting RID of some debt and monthly payments, not adding more . Damn my responsible self prioritizing instead of just having fun.

Dude I want a DD not another drag car lmao. Don't really want an NA built one, looking at a 6sp, either stock/bolt-ons so I can mod it a bit myself or already procharged to maybe ~600hp to save a bunch of money. Something reliable but not boring as ****.

I feel you on the prioritizing. Main reason I sold my LT1 WS6 2-1/2 years ago. Would really like a C6 GS, but I would prefer throwing $40k down on a house rather than buying a car outright. That is why the car may be on the back burner for awhile. It is hard for me to balance aggressive investment goals, priorities, and toys.
My cammed C5z will most likely be for sale when I get back in july. Just put a new clutch in it too, and the cam work has less than 2K miles on it. It's nothing crazy either, only made 420RWHP. I'd let it go cheap to someone on here. Bottom dollar would more than likely be around 14K.
Would really hate tearing into a genuine C5Z though.

I've got a for sale thread buried somewhere on here where I tried to sell it before I left. It needs a few little things; The shifter needs to be adjusted and there are some small cosmetic things, a scratch some rock chips ETC but it's been very well maintained mechanically. It's just time for me to move on to a C6 or CTS V2. Went 11's with only bolt ons, it should be low 11's now. Best trap has been 123 in Florida air with a **** 60 foot. I think I remember aren't you in Florida as well? I'm in Gainesville

Good luck finding a C5Z06 for anywhere under 14K that doesn't have serious issues.
