Odarabla's infinite BS thread for the foreskinned (AKA Smack Down)
Leg press machines are hard to judge. I've been on some and pushed around 850lbs, then another I only push 550-600. Guess it depends if it is like a swing arm style or just the old slide style. The slide style is the one I do less on. My max squat so far is 375.
If I was you I would work on deadlifts a lot. I think deadlifts are pretty much the gold standard for raw strength. My deadlift is only around 405. I know a lot of guys that weigh less than me who can lift 500 plus.

Easing into deads again starting with heavier rack deads(bar about a foot high off ground on safety bars) , and lighter full deads. Hopefully the back will come back into shape.... or surgery... hope I dont end up having to do surgery.
I hit 315 a few months back but it kind of hurt my shoulder to lift that heavy at the time. I wasn't doing good shoulder workouts and so it fell off and I was only pushing 275-285 for about 6 weeks. Finally got my shoulders strengthened up now and 300+ lbs won't even phase em.
For about two years I was one of those guys that only lifted upper body then I realized how much overall strength I was leaving on the table not to mention I looked stupid as hell with a bigger upper body and scrawny *** chicken legs

Also need to say, when you first start deadlifting.... you HAVE to get your PERFECT form down pat. Chest forward, lower back pushed forward... and keep that form. Do NOT round your back off when lifting. You WILL hurt yourself. Lighter weight + perfect form are mandatory. If you try a weight and cannot keep from rounding your back... do not do it. Kep your center of gravity over the bar. Put your toes up under the bar when you lift. If your shins are not bleeding after a heavy deadlift, you didnt do it right.

Lolz! I should've paid closer attention to Mystic's post. I figured he was afew bricks short of a full load, but I had no idea it was this fun. I'll pay closer attention starting.........Now.
Same here... wasn't doing too much weight, but doing reps, when I went down, the bar was not level.. one side hit before the other and got me out of my form groove... went for the other rep, and it did not feel good..... for about a week... back pain sucks.

Car got hot on the way to work yesterday...seems like the ewp lost connection for some reason after 6-8yrs of being connected. Hopefully the engine is ok.....seems ok but I hope no problems arise from it.
