Question my 5.3 is sounding like a diesel and its starting to get louder. Well either that or im just noticing it more. Anyways was wondering if new pistons, valve springs, rockers, lifters, push rods would fix the issue? The engine has 190k miles and its my beater truck so kinda just want it to last for long time.

Nope i dont want to up the power unless i end up putting a wench, and bigger tires on it. If i do put bigger tires on it then ill have to spend more money else where that i don't wanna do. Im thinking the engine will be fine long enough until i get the cosmetic issues done. My cosmetic plan's are Rhino liner the bed, fix the hood, new lights front/back and get a touch up paint job. As for the interior im get a new deck and speakers thats it.

Lol nice, guess ill do that then. I hope to get 250k + miles out of this engine. If anything ill probably turn it into a mud truck eventually
