Your volt meter says you're running .2 volts more than stock, must mean you're hiding a cam and nitrous.

What's even funnier is you're probably running a stock gauge, which is an idiot light of sorts without spot-on accuracy.

Unless f-bodies actually use a mechanical oil pressure feed, which I would be surprised if they did.

I run a mechanical one simply because I built the whole car and it was just as easy as a stock style setup, plus I already had the Autometer mechanical gauge.

A mechanical one is live at all times which means what your gauge says RIGHT now is what the pressure is RIGHT now. It just helps you in the case of oil starvation so you can see your pressure drop instantly and turn the ignition off. That and you can ensure your pressure evenly fluctuates with RPM.

If that's not grasping for straws, idk what is. I'd be embarrassed to say that to someone as evidence for them having a cam

Lol when I was younger I had several TBI 350 Chevys. The oil pressure sensor commonly ***** up on those. Often the gauge starts jumping around, or quitting.

Happened to a friend of mine. Lost oil pressure going down the highway. He just thought "oil pressure sensor again"---- couple miles later..... Boom! Lol

If you have a mechanical gauge and it starts acting up, something's wrong.

You can always come clean and tell them you just added blinker fluid before the run with the 5.0.
