Going to pass a truck, it was completely clear, apparently I just gave too much room and went too wide. I make it a point to not cut it close with other cars but I guess this time I shouldn't have gone so far. If the guardrail wasn't there I probably would have just slowed down in the grass.
Thanks for the well wishes, guys, I really appreciate it. Part of the bright side (trying to find some wherever I can) is I get to play with the idea of getting a new toy.

I've never been in an accident remotely "severe" so this was a complete shock. The biggest "accident" I was in prior to this was driving my old 87 into a cornfield at like 30mph with very minimal damage.

Thanks guys. Definite moment of silence for that car.
Next? Good chance another coupe, but also considering LS1 TA, or 96-98 Cobra and throw a Vortech on it...I'd ultimately love to do a new 5.0 swapped four eyed car but I need a little break for now.

LOL! My 7'6 *** has a rug burn on my forehead/hairline from where my head kissed the headliner. Tall problems!
Some heads on here would explode.
How about a new 5.0 swapped third gen?

So a question for you guys - I have full coverage and it's obviously totaled, so they're going to cut me a check for it. Buying it back is a definite possibility because I'd recoup a good amount of money from certain parts. How does that work? Do they usually allow you to buy it back for a reasonable cost? I mean it's essentially scrap metal in their eyes, so if I can get it back for a decent price, I will.

It's usually around 20% of the payable value of the car
