Look at it this way. They have no clutch and you don't have to shift; you just put your foot down and hold it. They're AWD, so it's not like you have to work to launch it.. And they have launch control, so the computer holds the rpm for you. Teh damn thing is a robot. If you **** up driving a GTR..........holy ****. A monkey could pilot a GTR to a low 11 second pass at the strip. With that being said, they're awesome.

I have seen a few them have issues launching them at the track. Getting used to the luanch control takes.some practice.

I'm just trying to start ****, it gets old hearing the oh so elite with 6 speeds talking **** on autos, they both have benefits, and in the case of drag racing, autos are the way to go, if they wernt every single high end build would have some form of a stick and they don't....

And honestly, I enjoy people looking at my car and not taking me seriously cause its ugly with an auto Once I'm fast it should cause some heartbreak.

There are sequential boxes out there for those who want to keep a stick. No one ever uses them and that would be king **** for high end builds with a ign. cut.

Id love to have a 6speed in my lt1, but, the auto can be made just as fast and I want to make it into a drag car so the auto will work peachy for that. When i pick up a vette that will have a stick cause ill want to track it.

I've always found it amusing when people complain about GT-Rs being auto and they are "too easy to drive, no wonder they are fast". How many more excuses can one make for buying an inferior platform?

I watched Dirty Hairy's speech btw, and I must concede I'm torn. Although I found it funny, I also found aspects of it embarassing. I love Eastwood, but to imply a U.S. president would be telling you to "f*** off" and "shut up" is questionable at best. He should have consulted with a few more people before attempting to pull that off imo.

All I want to know right now is:

Oda's best e.t.

and

Ohio's best e.t.

=?

I'm at 9.90@134mph with a 1.35 60ft. in the heat on a 150 shot.. Not spraying all the way through the 1/4. I shut the spray off at around the 1000ft mark because I don't want to spray over 7000rpm in 3rd..

The next thing to do is add more gear and spray a 200 shot..

Speaking of gear I am thinking of adding least 3.55 maybe more like 3.90's.

This one runs 4.10 gears. It just went 9.86 @140

Differences in car is his has 4.10 gears, headers, race fuel

So what do 5.0's on the average trap from stock 5.0's to intake, tune, exhaust 5.0's? There are 2 here in town that I might be racing tommarow and I'm wondering if I can keep up all motor without the n2o. I trapped 110 last time with bolt-ons and mailorder tune. Since than I have done 224r cam, 25% u/d pulley, and gotten a full on street tune. So I figure I should atleast be trapping in the 115mph range all motor. Is that enuf to keep up with a intake, exhaust, tune 5.0?

If you can hook and are racing from a dig you should win. When I was cam only I killed about 10 of them easy and most had weight reduction done. Without a Boss intake and near full weight they trapped 115-117MPH.

My 9.90 pass was in the heat of summer about a month ago. Track temps were north of 120 degrees. Give me some good air on a cool night and this setup has 9.60--9.70's in it with just a 150 shot.. Remember all I have to do is up the shot. A 150 shot for this motor ain't ****!! lol

From my memory, I don't remember picking up much from summer to winter when I sprayed my car. I think it was the cooling effect from the nitrous.

I guess we will see. In good air on motor I ran a best of 10.39@129mph. On the day I went 9.90 I made 4 motor passes. My fastest pass of the day was 10.63@127mph and my slowest was (heat soaked) 10.71@126. It had rained earlier in the day so it was hot and muggy. Track temps were 120+ degrees. I understand the N2O has a cooling effect on the motor but that still doesn't change the DA for the day.. Also I ran this number on a heat soaked engine. No rest between passes because I was trying to get the N2O right. Also there might be a difference between a FI setup and N/A one..

All depends on his tune really for the 5.0's. They should easily trap 115 with their mods but driver is key. Guy below has stock intake and no headers. But has weight reduction. Ran 10.9@122

http://www.modularfords.com/f259/bol...t-goes-189364/

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...-goes-10s.html

Others with same mods as this Guy have ran 11-12's at 113-120.

I got bitched at today for not having an installation parking pass (For my area we have little green stickers) on my Camaro today by a security guard at work... I was literally on my way to the police station to get one because I just got the car and haven't had the chance to. I tried telling him that and he interrupted me every time I tried to get a word in talking about parking tickets and booting my car and ****. I just walked off and told him to **** off so he got my tag and called my supervisor. He just laughed about it.

I got a ported throttle body and I am trying to jew a guy down on craigslist for an LS6 intake for my Camaro. He wants 400$ for it I offered him 300. I'm looking for an ORY and a set of headers if any of you guys have something like that laying around
