Last time benched repped 315 8 times. But that was before surgeries on my right arm. I don't lift right now. Have 3rd surgery in October.

I am at 245 1RM currently but I was hitting it for 6-8 reps not to long ago.

Take your time and go at your own pace, no point in hurting yourself. When I started lifting in HS I weighed about 140 and only benched 145x1. By the end of the year I was 155 and could do 225x1 - was so happy to get 2x "Cadillacs" on each side LOL!

Now 8 years later I'm 10 pounds heavier at 165# and look a lot bigger, but I'm actually probably weaker then I was 8 years ago - I haven't lifted in ages .

**EDIT** Yes, I am only 165lbs on a ZX14R LMAO

Finally got the Gto running again. It's been so long, the registration I never put on is about to expire again.
Still need to put on the bumper, since I drove it around looking for leaks. You would think it was like people have never seen a 12x30" intercooler on the front of a ridiculously loud cavalier.
Also, I am almost done polishing my headlights. They started yellowing, so I sanded it off. Next comes the finishing sanding, then some uv sealant.

I think it's good you're getting back into it, having your own place to work out is a great idea. I need to get back into it, to, I've always been fit from playing college ball and being mandated to lift, since I started my MBA, though, it's been work + school + wrenching on the car. Benching sucks, though, when you're 6'7" with long arms, last time I only got 320 3-4 times. I want to get up to 400+ max when I'm finished with these damn night classes.

Built to hell 4L80... I think I may be the first to do this swap into a new gen V? Not sure... Haven't seen any yet. Shop says it will take 20+ hours of labor hehehe.

Parachute

That's the plan for now! I'm going to shoot for a cts-v rwhp record. Car leaves to DFW in a few weeks. Should be there by late november and hopefully back to me before xmas!

this is hilarious because i actually just started lifting/dieting 2 weeks ago. Finally made it back to first shift after 3 years on second (let myself go pretty bad on second). Now im going back to coaching wrestling at my old high school. I train with the team so its pretty much a full level work out for me. I cant be out of shape for that or Im going to be tooled on by a few senior studs on the team. Im 170lbs right now... at my current body build.. i should be at 145lbs to be single digit body fat. I was 155 when i started second shift. Was very happy to still be able to put up 150lbs for a set of 10... especially since i havent done a push up in 2 years lolol. But it gets addicting quick once you get back to it. Speaking of which... i should be doing a leg work out, rather then be on this damn site

Great progress for 8 months man. Stick to it and focus on improving your squat and DL. Work in some quality rowing lifts and some quality over head pressing + push ups to round it out.
